Gintama is absolutely the best comedy/action anime of all time. But it does make fun of a lot of other shonen animes (and anime in general I guess) so a lot of its jokes may get lost if you haven't watched a lot of anime in general. But once it gets rolling it's a hell of a ride.

Gintama is maybe one of best anime ever. Enjoy this show and patience. Is a comedy but have a lot of epic surprises . 100% worth it

yeah.. Gintama is really the best on all aspects, but the first couple of episodes are just character introductions.. if you guys don't drop Gintama in the initial stages, then you're up for an unforgettable treat
