I've been using the Priority 600 daily for the past 9 months and I love it! The Pinion Gearbox along with the Gates Carbon Belt drive is the dream drivetrain. Did I mention low maintenance? How about NO maintenance! I love the WTB tires, the Dynamo hub lights and the comfy seat. This is the best commuter I've ever owned. Here's a series about a 1000 mile tour on the 600 • Biking from Boulder to...

After watching your "Winter Cycling in Minneapolis" a few years ago, you convinced me to buy a Priority Continuum, put the studded tires on it, and start biking to work in the winter. After watching this video, I now know what my next bike will be. Do you have studs on it?

Ryan. I watched this video six or eight months ago and was blown away by your authenticity and I had to watch it again. I've been married three times and each time a marriage ended it was emotionally sad and painful just as you described your break up with Ali. It's so healing to hear a fellow man express his true feeling about a loving relationship that has ended. Life does go on and there is always a way for each of us to continue to make this world a better place. Namaste.

Oh man Ryan! I'm happy with my Onyx for my daily commute, but you're making me think about upgrading this coming year... One thing your review of Priority is missing... My six months in the saddle on my Onyx have not been as issue free as yours. I've had to replace gouged tires twice, adjust my belt tension, and I had a freak accident damage my belt and required a warranty replacement from Gates. I bring this up because Priority's customer service is off the charts good! Every interaction with them has been great. They take time to help you to get out your situation and they are responsive, friendily, and compotent! Love Priority, Dave and his team run an amazing shop! I can't imagine buying a daily commuter from any other brand!

Great review! I sold my city/commuter bike. It was fast and stable. My favorite part was the internal 8-speed hub. You could up/down shift the full range standing still. That was great if you got caught on a hill or traffic light and had to stop in high gear. It was easy to downshift at a standstill. I cant wait for the next bike adventure from you. DD

Dream bike, but too expensive commuter bike for city. Even in great Netherlands commuter bikes are super cheap, they even scrub new glancy frame so it looks ugly, to avoid them being thieft. One man told me his tradegy about his expensive sport bike, he left on street. He locked bike on Abus super lock. Angry thiefs doesnt succeeded to unlock or break it, hard steel doesnt broken. So they almost destroyed his bike completely (saint angry revenge).

This is one of the best videos I've seen yet! I think you might have convinced me... I had a project to build my own bike, but it's been months and I haven't got the time to do more than shuffle through videos and webshops... I was thinking about carbon drive, IGH in the rear, tubeless tires, strong rims... I think the Priority would at least be a good base that I could upgrade if I have issues with it! I ride in Montreal, Canada, where we have a lot of snow and abrasives in the winter, and also tons of potholes... I still ride the cheap bike I bought 10 years ago, but it requires heavy maintenance now. I have put over 800$ in maintenance and upgrades over the last 2 years lol

Get one car lane from every 4-lane main road, bolt down some modular concrete kerbs, paint a line in the middle, then see what happens. School kids and parents will start to ride in it, and they will adapt happily, and will have fun chasing each other in the cold conditions with their scarfs blowing behind them.

I should mention that I discovered your channel after doing research in regards to my new bike purchase and was stoked to see you posted a video of you and Ali riding right here in Canada on the Terry Fox Trail in London Ontario which happens to be a hop , skip and a jump down the 401 highway from where I live in Kitchener Ontario.

Hi Ryan, thanks for all the great content you produce. Having ridden bicycles most of my adult life I find the price point of the Priority 600 to be a tremendous value. I was curious if the Pinion transmission says "Made in Germany" on the exterior shell? Thanks for all you do, it really is inspiring to watch your work.

Dude how is it possible to not own a car,I raced motorcycles from 81-86 professionally and used bicycles to help stay in shape and I love them but you give me the option of let’s say the baddest bicycle in the world to let’s say a Jaguar 55 D type or a Porsche 904 or even a VW Scirocco of which in 83 and 84 I owned 2 as well as a AUDI Quattro SWB and finally in my early dream garage I had a 85 Alfa Spider which was the essence of class and cool, just once go out and buy not a brand new car but a true classic (the Jaguar is worth around 15 million so yeah unless you have about a quarter billion UTube followers ain’t happening) seriously you really should experience the amazing joy of a true classic car once in your life and may it be a manual shift, stay safe and god bless.

@@williamwilson7857 I had my handlebars set really high on my bike prior to the 600, a KHS Brentwood, which I liked. I felt like I was driving a SUV, sitting high and upright, offering me very good road visibility. The 600 was much lower slung, built more for reducing air drag. The 600 was designed mostly for commuting. It's a hybrid between a cruiser and a mountain bike. For me, it's almost perfect. The gearbox, located directly below the rider is optimally placed to lower your center of gravity, improving handling, which might be nice for a big guy. Years ago, I was thinking about getting a custom made bike built with the Pinion gearbox and Gates drive, but that would have cost me at least $6,000. I've had my 600 for a little over a year now, so I can't say much about the long term reliability of the Pinion gearbox. They say you should change the oil once a year, so that should help keep the gearbox running smooth. So far, I'm a very happy camper. The folks at Priority hit a home run with the 600. I'm sure you'll love it too.

G'day Ryan, I enjoy watching all your videos of all your adventures and the different bikes you ride. Two bikes: the Trek 1120 and the Priority 600: are favourites of mine, unfortunately we can't get them in Australia and even if we could Aussie bike shops/companies are just two greedy and charge way to much, they're all just trying to make their quick million instead of putting bums on "good" bikes for a reasonable price. Love biking- I have a Cannondale cyclocross and a specialised Mt bike and would love to get my hands on the above mentioned-maybe one day ! keep cruisin' Colm

Hi Ryan, new subscriber. :) I gave up my car 7 years ago and I'm never looking back. I ride a Trek 800 (steel frame) and I love it! I'm getting ready to convert it to an e-bike using a Bafang mid-drive motor. I think once you get into bikes you start thinking in terms of what is best for your transportation needs. Attn: Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders. I just bought this bike in Canada about a month ago and by the time I was done paying the exchange rate, duties and taxes this bike was almost $4000 Canadian, which is close to what you would pay in Australia or New Zealand. It is a nice bike but I just want you to have all the facts. I was kind of shocked when I was done paying all the fees, it came to about $800 more than I thought I was going to pay for it. Here is hoping the pinion belt drive lasts me for the next 10-15 years, I am expecting BIG things from this bike considering the premium I paid for it here in Canada.

Priority offers either this or the rear hub version with some of their other models. I wonder if they've ever experimented using both on the same bike. The pinion drive system, with an adjustable range hub in the rear, basically implementing the same concept used on dual derailleur chain drive bikes.
