In today's video, we'll be taking a look at the brand new Snackbox Micro and Snackbox Micro XL from Junkfood Arcades! JFA was generous enough to send us both of these controllers to review, so we'll be taking a look at all the new features, such as the Snackbox Micros' new Amber Switches, matte black concave buttons, PS5 brook board, and brand new art case design! I'm incredibly excited to finally have a controller that works on all my systems that I own, as well as a newer and faster leverless to replace my current EVO 2022 Snackbox Micro! I will be using this controller for all the Guilty Gear Strive video that you see from now on and all the other fighting game content that you might see pop up on this channel. Overall, I really hope you guys enjoy this video because I put a ton of work into making sure its as polished as possible before it went public. There's tons of things going on in life right now, so I'd like to let you all know that I'm going to be putting a major focus on KZbin for this year. with the razor kitsune out for $300 idk man, may as well spend the extra $35 i advice any entry "first timers" try haute pads first

i agree with you @@kylecromp the kitsune and this are no different from the haute pads and they are WAY cheaper and offer the same if not more features.

@@Laingame In terms of more features, I def disagree, the brook board in the SBM/XL carries the capabilities to do Switch/PS/XB/PC - while the Kitsune is only for PS/PC. Also, the SBM can be customized with the LEDs on your phone, not sure if Kitsune does that, and the switches are entirely interchangable from feel to latency actuation that you prefer, as well as concave or convex buttons. In terms of competition, its still probably a better deal to go with SBM - unless you want more palm support or a more classic button feel. Just my op

@@kylecromp Kitsune is definetly a cool controller and I for sure want to try it, but paying 35$USD for less features seems not as good a deal to me, unless you're looking for that extra palm support or classic-ish arcade button feel.

I'm going to give the amber switch a try. I definitely want to see how much easier it will be to do yoshi's spirit shield on a 1mm actuation switch, because the stock red ones that came with my micro xl definitely are a challenge to pull off that move consistently with my current keybinding setup.

I received the amber switches this week and I am shocked at the difference they've made. Maybe it's less noticeable on PC, but on PS5 it immediately improved my gameplay.

Yeah so you commission an artist then order the art plate for your controller on focusattack or etsy

Im a controller player But I'm sick of missing shots because of the D-PAD on the ps5. Would you advise me to get the snackbox? Do you have any advice? 😭

Hey! Yeah I would recommend leverless a try. The ps5 dpad is horrible because the buttons are not individual buttons, which make u squish misinputs if u press too hard. U can also try a fightpad- the razer raion is super good and I used that for a while. Its all up to preference in the end. But as for leverless controllers the go to right now for sure is the snackbox micro.

Debating on picking up the snack box micro xl I currently have a razer kitsune. How would you compare the two?

They’re pretty close from what I’ve read. From what I’ve researched, the big differences that you’re going to see are the button style of the micro (the micro has keyboard like switches/buttons) and the accessibility with other consoles. You also have the ability to customize the micro’s LEDs with your phone, but thats not really a functionality feature. With the kitsune you’re kinda trapped with only being able to use it on PS/PC but with Micro you’ll be able to use it on all the modern consoles. (XB/SW/PS/PC) I haven’t compared the two directly yet in a video but with Razors leverless gaining traction i might do that just to be more informed.

Too many buttons, not as much artwork customization, not sure how modular it is because of the way its built either. Probably a decent controller and the 1ms latency is a nice touch. But likely not for everyone who’s getting into the leverless world tbh. The simplicity of the hitbox/snackbox button layout is a BIG selling point for people.

@@MunsterNation You don't have to use these extra buttons, at least they're here, and for artwork customization, they give you the template. Modularity is the exact same thing, a PCB with swappable keyboard switches, these "1ms buttons" is a total marketing lie tho

@@vlorkhan3655 As someone who recently purchased these switches they ABSOLUTELY make a difference. Execution and speed immediately have improved. I am not joking. I immediately bought another batch just in case. So I don't know what lie you're talking about.
