It really all depends on how you ride, but I’ve been riding most days for a year now without having to replace any of the wide or starter casters on any of my carts. They all still work and function as new still to this date 👌🛒

@@TJ_Travelz ok thanks brother. And next question how do I gage how tight to do the steering?
@TJ_Travelz
@TJ_Travelz 3 ай бұрын
Great question! So you want it to be about as tight as possible with still smooth steering, that’s the nutshell explanation. What I like to do is bring the bottom nut all the way down as tight as you can get it and then back it up like a half a turn. Then proceeded to bring that top nut down tight on top of the bottom one. That way you’ve created a tight headset, but still have a little bit of play, creating the smoothness and ability to turn the wheel by having the bottom nut backed up a little bit 🤙🛒 hope this helps my man!

Do you think hockey puck wheels would be better than the skateboard wheels? My standard cart still had the stock casters and wheels (v2 starter casters are quite expensive so those arent an option rn)
@TJ_Travelz

Absolutely! Those do great in almost all situations except for when you get above like 15mph. For speed, they are a “no-go”, but for stock motors or even simple overvolted motors, they do amazing 👌🛒

@@TJ_Travelz yeah I’ll use that but I had one more question are the taxi garage stage 1 carts the same as the ones razor sells but just with plastic plates on it?
@TJ_Travelz
@TJ_Travelz 3 ай бұрын
No, they have several upgrades compared to the stock ones Razor offers. There should be several details under the picture on their website, but I believe a stage 1 comes with the next step up battery(36V), and it can come with optional things like wide casters, custom colors, LED kits, and hardware kits. From Razor you’ll be lucky to squeeze 13mph out of them. The stage one from taxi garage will easily go 18mph, not to mention you’ll get at least twice the ride time before the battery needs charging 🤙🛒 If you decide to pull the trigger on a crazy cart, holler at me, I can lead you to the cheapest stock one from Razor as well 👌

@@TJ_Travelz ill get the razor one that’s like 550 and then maybe put a better motor in it for a good price if you recommend any
@TJ_Travelz
@TJ_Travelz 3 ай бұрын
I can score you the crazy cart for $380 with a direct link right now, but definitely taxi garage for the motor. Just know it’s not gonna do much without a battery first. The battery is the soul provider of the electricity/power provided. The motor can handle all it wants, but if it’s not being fed enough, it won’t do anything 🤙🛒

Ok im literally new to the hole cart game just got xl friday. Lol Have you tried any the other 48v batterys any custom or budget friendly batterys? i have one on order from t.g but just wonder seen them for 150 to 250. Have a back up battery for long ride days. Im in madison wi we got tons of bike trail through out the city. I would like to be able to ride it to the spot then thrash and drive home its about a 13 miles trip. Take me 2 hours on a e long board going like 13 avg.

@dylanmiller3252 I haven’t, but I’ll also admit I’ve seen a lot of problems with those cheaply wrapped blue battery boxes people grab from Amazon. I forget that brand they’re called and I can never pronounce it, but I’m just leery because there’s like 7 or 8 electrical vehicles in my arsenal now all with quality batteries and I’d hate for one cheap one to send the whole batch up in flames.. not to mention my garage 😂

I’m about 6 foot and 220 pounds do u think I would be fine on a regular crazy cart upgraded or should I upgrade a xl? I just don’t know if the regular is too small for me. What would you recommend?
@TJ_Travelz
@TJ_Travelz 5 ай бұрын
If you don’t plan on having to load it up and go anywhere or at least far or very often I would get an XL(it’s just a b to move lol). You would absolutely fit fine on a standard size crazy cart though, and if you plan on doing some traveling or going out and about to meet up with buddies and stuff to ride, I would totally recommend the standard. I just know the comfort level is a lot greater on the XL for myself personally. I’m 6’4 and 200 pounds and get by just fine on a standard, but I’m kind of pushing the limits if you feel me lol. It’s not even a weight thing at this point, it’s about comfort at a certain weight 👌

Apologies for the book 📚 but I wanna be thorough lol. I also want to point out that my buddy/film partner Cruz probably has 50lbs on me(250lbs? Maybe?) and that’s exactly what I’m talking about, he can fit if he wants to but it’s not very comfortable at that point especially having to reach around your own leg to grab the drift bar.

So I should be fine if I run the stock motor with 36v battery upgrade and starter casters v2? Kinda unclear if you reccomend them over wides if ur just using stock cart
@TJ_Travelz
@TJ_Travelz 6 ай бұрын
Oh yea, you’ll be goin 17-18mph easy with that battery upgrade, and it’ll feel solid to the ground with the Starter Casters 👌 All 3 of my carts are def NOT stock(I mention the watts and volts as we approach each cart), but I would recommend the Wides over Starters if you think you’ll need a rebuild someday down the road. Otherwise they are just about the same thing and in my opinion the price difference between Starter Casters and Wide Casters is for warranty. I believe around 12:40 is a decent explanation 🎬

Thanks for the info, I’m probably js gonna go with the v2s bc I don’t have 260 to put into wheels and casters. I ordered a basic tire for the front one off amazon. Also I spray painted the whole cart black with rust repellant. This is bc I’m broke and found a free cart that wasn’t working and has a dead battery that leaked acid from being outside for months and the front tire has a big hole. Any recommendations for the 36v battery and speed controller. I really js want to plug and play with the new speed controller. I was told to js get the stock battery to start but that’s too slow and I got hills all around the area that I wanna go up so I want more power.
