I felt it in my soul! Also! I just texted my husband about 7 minutes ago I really want to visit Ireland, Scotland and Wales!! It's his ancestry (and our children's) and this Egyptian gal is dying to go! My brother went and he loved the whole trip. We don't drink, though so I hope we won't look rude. 🙈

@@wangischangis8410 yep the Irish diet used to rely on this, especially the poor, which is why around 1 million Irish people died during the potato famine, and why so many of them migrated to countries like the US (which is a huge reason why 10% of their population has Irish background). Potatoes has had a big impact on history

In Spain, we serve something like this called patatas bravas, and we serve it with a similar sauce called “Alioli” which comes from the Catalá words for oil and garlic.

I'm with you! I always hated almost all forms of potatoes, including mashed potatoes. I really like sweet potatoes and I like the little creamer potatoes if they're cut into wedges with garlic and rosemary and baked until crispy and then you put a little lemon juice on them. Only way I'll ever eat potatoes. I will have to try these! That sauce looks AMAZING.

If you dont like potatoes, its because you've never had a good potato. In finland the first potatoes of the year are harvested in june and the are firm and very smooth in texture. They have a beautiful soft taste that is completely lost later in the year. We eat them with just butter, savoring each bite.
@djonymorais2 жыл бұрын
That’s very traditional in Portugal, we call them “batatas a murro”, which translates into punched potatoes. Usually served with baked cod fish, but they also make a delicious starter. Big fan of your channel by the way!!
