This video almost seems like an infomercial to me, haha. But, I love this thing so much that I would happily go on QVC to promote it!

The SmokeNINJA from SmokeGenie, best thing ever! I did a video on it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWbXpml9d66cgrs

Do it! I already know your logo(s) would look fire.

Do you find dimming the led causes flicker on camera?
@NewLayer8 ай бұрын
No, that is the biggest problem with most LED sign companies, so I made sure these would NOT flicker at any dimming level before sharing this!
@productfeedback8 ай бұрын
@@NewLayer I assuming thats to do with the controller. PWM causes the light to flicker, I have tried like 5x controllers. Not sure how or why this works vs the ones I have to not cause the flicker.

@@productfeedback Yep, that's the problem I found with most companies. It's kind of funny because some super cheap controllers won't have flicker, while more expensive ones do, or vice versa. Gotta find one that works for the particular LEDs you have! This one seems to work if you haven't tried it yet: amzn.to/4ashn3G No remote support but, you could also add it inline with another controller, and just have the other controller set to 100%.

I have this dimmer in between the transformer and my sign and the flickering stopped. I can still use my remote to control it too

Cost ?
@NewLayer8 ай бұрын
It's totally dependent on the size and extras (like waterproofing, dimmer, etc), but they start around $250. For something very large for a storefront you'll be more in the $500 range.

@@NewLayer Jesus, far cheaper options
@NewLayer8 ай бұрын
@@anywherenearzero Alternatives, yes? You could do an LED rope light design, which would cheaper, just not the same. Or use tube lights, but even a plain 2' Amaran PT2c pixel tube stuck on the wall would cost $300+ Cheaper options for LED signs? Not that I found that meet the necessary criteria. - Do not flicker on video at common frame rates/shutter speeds 24fps, 30fps, 60fps. - Dimmable: Also required is that when the dimmer is added, flickering is not introduced. Flickering was the number one instant dealbreaker on other LED signs once a dimmer is added. A lot goes into film-ready LEDs than you might think. - Can create a sign from a logo, not only pre-defined fonts
