No worries about going from Coleto's 3 to 4 component pen; the N3 and N4 are the same pen, both having the same measurements: grip diameter - 12mm, grip max - 13mm, length - 5.9 in, weight - 9 grams. So, adding a 4th refill, pen or pencil, doesn't require a larger body.

I've got a couple of these pens and quite love them! I tend to mix my refills, I've found that most tend to be interchangeable. The big exception is the Coleto - the top tabs are reusable, but the actual pen refill is shorter than the others (Sarasa Select, Uni Style Fit, Pentel Slicci). You can cut them down and add the Coleto topper and they'll work in the Coleto, but obviously they'll then be too short for the other pens. I've got some AcroBall refills in my pens too, and a bunch of others 😁 Tokyo Pen Shop has a really great video on mixing up your custom multis!

My opinion hasn't changed; for a customizable multi-pen, the Pilot Coleto wins with me, hands down. The choice of different tip sizes (0.3, 0.4, 0.5), different body styles and colors, a variety of ink colors, and the quality of the ink are features of this pen you cannot ignore. As an added bonus, you're not confined to the push pins being either all the same color or a pre-determined set of colors. You get to choose; I appreciate choices. Pilot could do better with the body of these pens, even push for a executive style; I'm patiently waiting for that. Until then, you can't go wrong with the Coleto. I'm always looking forward to your videos; thanks Sal!

Are you referring to the Pilot 2+1 Slim 2 Color 0.7 mm Ballpoint multi pen? If so, JetPens offers it.

i'm interested in buying it, but i've heard that the ink runs out quickly. is that true?

Trying to get a Sarasa or a Colleto shipped to Germany. Only thing on Ebay... is a Sailor Moon edition for the High Tech C Colleto. For the Zarasa, I get the choice between Disney Princess, Toy Story or Donald Duck. For those, I also get Disney-themed 10 color refill set. But all quite pricey :(

Amazon Japan is an excellent resource as well. Their international shipping can be quite reasonable.

any multiple pens that have rollerball refills?
@ISCREAM924 жыл бұрын
IMO the zarasa variant also uses a larger tab for tactile recognition of the colour you use the most (Blue by default). You then can identify the two remaining colours located left or right by memory, if you use the pen enough. It saves you the irratance of fiddling the pen 2 inches from your face, trying to play Twister to find out where the right bloody colour is! Good review Sal, subbed.

I love the bic Atlantis pens and I’m looking for a multi pen that can take those cartridges.. any ideas?

Good video. I got the Pentel 3 energel colors multi pen, the Pentel Vicuna which I ordered recently, and the Uniball F series--this will replace the Pentel alloy model. Take a look at the Sailor multi pen, it's built really well... I'm waiting on mine to arrive.

I like your videos! Your channel has some unique contents and I learnt a lot from it. My mainly collections through the years are from fountain pen --> mechanical pencil --> ballpoint pen & rollerball pen. Now I'm a newbie of multi-pen world. After comparing the Uni, Pentel, Pilot, Zebra, Lamy, rOtring and a few other mainstream pen brands' multi-pen lineup, I bought a Pilot Legno wooden multi-pen (There's not much information about these kind of products on the internet and they are relatively hard to buy). Still waiting for it.

Just checked out the Legno at JetPens. I like the simplicity of this particular pen, but I would prefer a gel or hybrid ink refill. If you happen to discover alternative refills for it, please come back and post!

Hi@@Ali-in8xi , although I haven't receive my pen yet, but I did some research before buying. It use the universal type of refill, the standard D1 (It's just like the Parker G2 type refill. So I can choose from all different brands, like Pilot itself, Zebra, Pentel, Ohto, Monteverde, Schneider, Schmidt and so on! ) As I know, Zebra JSB is gel refill, Uni Jetstream SXR-200 is hybrid refill, Lamy M55 is marker refill, Schmidt 620 & Tombow BR-VMP are pressurised refill. So there are so many choices for the refill. Very excited about this!

Hi. Great video. Which one of these have a nice needle tip?
@elisabethryder47193 жыл бұрын
From my experience, the High Tech C Coleto has a very smooth writing experience from their 0.4 needle tip refills. However, being the frequent journaler that I can be, I found the refills ran out on me much too fast. For me, spending a couple dollars every couple of months made me too anxious about the ink level (as if I were watching my gas tank). I want to try a ballpoint multi pen and see if I can mod other pen refills to fit. I wish you luck.

Good review. Just don't really care for multi-pens. I'm sure some people love them.

Hey HE Peteresen. I believe there are many people who find multi-pens fantastic. It's all about the convenience, when you need it or want it for that matter, of having different colored inks without having to switch pens is what attracts me to it. When I'm at the office, I generally write with black ink. When signing documents I prefer blue ink. I have documents to correct where red ink is needed. Sometimes I'm feeling playful and want a purple or a pink or a green. Nice to know I can have my choice of color in one instrument.
