Thank you for this video because after watching it a few times, my family and I have decided to do this same day trip during our trip in August. We are DIY’ng it as you guys did as the tours are so expensive! I have already booked the Rome to Pisa train but I have yet to book the Pisa to Florence train on the Trenitalia website. I find the website confusing as it only shows late night train schedule for the same day. But if I pick the day before, then it shows all the train schedules for the day of our trip. I live in Canada so I guess it’s because of the time difference? Did you encounter this same issue? Do I need to book ahead of time before our trip or can I just buy the ticket there? I also haven’t bought our Florence to Rome tickets. Is it risky to not have tickets or is it easy to get the tickets there? TIA

@MarcGelRon-mu4zg thank you for watching and the support. I'm really happy to know that the video helped you plan your trip a bit better, that's really cool! Okay, here's what I suggest you do to book everything: 1. I suggest you book your train tickets ahead of time. This is so you can save a little bit of money, plus to avoid running the risk that the train departing at the time you need/want is fully booked. 2. You want to book all train rides ahead of time for planning purposes too. This helped us out a lot when it was time to figure out what we wanted to see or do in Pisa and Florence because we knew how much time we had in each city. 3. I booked my trains about 3-4 weeks in advance. I've heard about other people running into the same issue you're telling me about, and this is usually because they're looking for train tickets too much in advance (if that makes any sense lol). A good rule of thumb is 3-4 weeks ahead. 4. The name of the train stations we departed from and arrived to are: Roma Termini, Pisa Centrale, and Firenze S.M. Novella." This is also how you're going to look for those stations online in both websites (Trenitalia & Italo). 5. So you maximize your time, try to leave from Rome as early as possible, and try to come back as late as possible from Florence. Obviously, be mindful of how far is Rome's train station to your lodging. 6. Shop around both websites/train companies. The only reason why I chose Italo over Trenitalia for one of the train rides is because the train ride was cheaper with the same or similar departing time as I wanted. Hope the above helps, and please feel free to reach out with any questions...glad to help in any way I can. Thank you for the support, and welcome to the family! Safe Travels! ✈️👍🏻

Thinking about completing this itinerary. What time did you leave Rome? How long did you stay in Pisa (what time did you leave Pisa to visit Florence)? Lastly, what time did you leave Florence to head back to Rome? Did you find that the trains left on time?
@MiloEstevez
@MiloEstevez 10 ай бұрын
Hi @shawntricethomas3057 thank you for watching and the support. Our train left Rome around 7 am and arrived in Pisa at approx. 9:50 am. And we were in Pisa until 12:00 noon because our train from Pisa to Florence left at 12:30 pm. We made it to Florence at 1:30 pm and left Florence at 6 pm back to Rome. You can safely plan to be in each city between 3 to 4 hours. I do have to confess it is a very tiring trip, and if you can, stay in Florence for at least one night. That city is magical 🤩 Hope that helps! Cheers 🤙🏻

Hi! Do you remember which train company you used to buy your train tickets? Did you get them in advance and made reservations too?
@MiloEstevez
@MiloEstevez 10 ай бұрын
Hi @ConversadeCoruja thanks for watching. I used both train companies in Italy - Trenitalia and Italo. I purchased the tickets in advance since I had to plan everything for my videos. I think you should be more than okay if you buy the tickets a week or two in advance. Here are the websites where you can purchase the tickets ahead of time: Trenitalia: www.trenitalia.com/en.html Italo: www.italotreno.it/en It is really easy, pretty much the same process as booking a flight. Hope the above helps. Cheers! 👍

would you advise getting your fast train tickets to pisa in advice, and if so, do you go ahead and get a round trip ticket?
@MiloEstevez
@MiloEstevez 6 ай бұрын
Hi @costricanbeuti thanks for watching and the support! I do advise you purchase the train tickets ahead of time (2-4 weeks should be more than enough). Just purchase the tickets online at the trenitalia or italo website. If you’re only traveling to Pisa and your travel plans are not flexible, then yes buy the round trip ticket. Otherwise buy one way tickets only, that’s how I did it since I wanted to see Pisa and Florence. 😊👍🏻

Did you walk from the station in Pisa to the leaning tower ? Because 25-30 minute walk will be a lot for us what do you recommend ?

Hi @roslynmarrero9667 thanks for watching! Yes, we walked from the train station to the leaning tower. To be honest, the walk is not bad at all, and you’ll see a lot of the people doing it. I’m pretty sure there has to be a bus or shuttle that can take you there. But I don’t have any information on it. The best thing you can do is to google it.
