@@yang139 specifically on widow, you dont always need to be moving if youre not under pressure. Sometimes you can peak out take a shot then move back if youre not ynder pressure. Your movement is very slow scoped anyway

This is really good to do but not on all heroes, like hitscan or ball. I played low outer on left for a few weeks thinking I’d be harder to hit but after turning it back up to like .95 I realized that I actually used my left stick to aim. I’m not sure that everyone does this maybe since I’m left handed but I use my movement to make small aim movements. On tracer/sombra/ and heroes that don’t require precise shots I think it’s fine tho since the benefit of instant movement outweighs it. Def try 0 inner 0 outer or 10 outer unless you constantly have it drifting turn it up slowly

For anyone that plays Apex, Steam has a setting called “Anti Deadzone” on the advanced settings for thumbstick, setting it to around 3150 will make your movement and the menu cursor more controllable. Under it, adding a “buffer” of around 2150 will add your own deadzone since the game doesn’t have one besides Small and Large. Increase the buffer if your left stick has bad Drift. This settings was how I got around the 26% Overwatch Pc deadzone back in the good ol days.

0 inner on left is so nice I never knew this. I wonder if it doesn’t move and still gives the effect of the camera moving because movement is on an exponential curve… probably not but it’s a nice bug. With this, always having aim assist on when you’re on target is extremely beneficial because it allows for the constant slower sensitivity. Before this Mayhaps update, I forced myself to move as widow, cree, Ashe just so that the slowdown didn’t throw off my aim. Lots of Apex Players have been playing on 0 deadzone for years now, idk why it took overwatch 8 years…

rotational aim assist abuse has been used by the cod community since configurable dead zones have been in the games, people also use a very low right stick dead zone because things like xim have “orbital” aim assist. It basically makes your crosshair move in a very small circle that will activate the right stick rotational AA

When i am playing widow i actually find it best to have my aim assist off, so my crosshair doesnt slide across an opponent slowly. I find it harder to hit opponents when the game suddenly slows down your ads speed.

What's the logic you used to figure out each deadzone setting for each stick? Did you do one stick at a time to see what felt better or did you do both at the same time? Did you randomly go up on each? How did you come to these numbers? Please don't say you just put in numbers until it felt good because there had to have been some kind of logical process to figuring it out, right? My biggest issue with aiming is that when the aim assist kicks in, it feels like my reticle is stuck and I can't make minor adjustments to actually track. When I do try to adjust to track the target, my reticle flies off the person and I end up basically whirlwinding and shooting all around instead of actually at the person I'm aiming at. As a result, my entire aiming technique has become flick based which works fine on support but is horrible for dps tracking.

I think add just adds to the default deadzone, 15. So if you had 0.05 on add, it would be 0.20

I have mini stickdrift thats almost not noticable when i ”add” and when put in on 0.03, its non existent when i put it on 0.04 BUT when i ”override” my stick goes out of control and drifts like crazy wtf?

Add, adds on to the default deadzone which is 15, so with the 0.03 it’s actually 0.18

Ok, but rotational aim assist in overwatch activated whether you're moving either stick, not only the movement stick. You can test this easily in the test range, so your rotational aim assist will only be activated with this setting, where it wouldn't before, if you weren't moving either stick

He uses dual zone for everyone but some characters have specific changes (aim smoothing, buttons configuration etc)
