Hi everyone and welcome to my channel, today I have a really useful video as I've collected all of my favourite recipes of homemade crafting materials. If you didn't know how to make chalk paint or modeling clay - here is whe you'll get it! All the recipes and links are down below.
Homemade texture paint:
2 tablespoons of white glue
2 tablespoons of acrylic or latex paint
1/2 cup of baking soda (for making coarse paste) /talcum powder or baby powder (for making fine paste)
talcum powder on Amazon: amzn.to/3GUZMnf
Homemade chalk paint:
1 part white clay
1 part water
3 parts acrylic or latex paint
white clay on Amazon: amzn.to/3rL7ny3
Homemade contour paint:
Mix construction adhesive (latex based) or latex caulking sealant with acrylic varnish till you get a consistensy of thich sour cream, add a drop of thick handcream to avoid bubbles. Add paint or eyeshadows to get the desired color.
Latex construction adhesive: amzn.to/3GPaNGx
Latex caulking sealant: amzn.to/3tW6wgP
Homemade fabric stiffener:
1 tablespoon of wallpaper paste powder (for use with wallpaper which is actually made of paper)
2 tablespoons of white glue
400 ml of water
50-70 ml of alcohol
wallpaper paste powder (haven't tried this exact one) amzn.to/3fRwcmI
Homemade silicone molds
There's no content sizes actually, just use water+dish soap to wet your fingers, oil or cream to cover the figurine and silicone caulking sealant. Cover the figurine with oil well and then cover it with silicone, wetting your fingers to avoid sticking to silicone. Apply more coats every several hour till you get the desired thickness.
silicone caulking sealant: amzn.to/3AriX5v
Homemade modelling clay:
I've made half a batch, here are the original instructions:
- toilet paper - 20 grams (this is about 40 leaflets of 3-layer paper) (I used 20 leaflets)
- white glue - 460 ml., about 480 g. (I used 240 grams, this is 5-6 tablespoons),
- dry plaster putty (drywall joint compound in powder) - 8 tablespoons, this is about 350 grams (I used 4 tablespoons)
- wheat flour - 11-13 tablespoons - about 360-420 g (I used 6 tablespoons)
- dish soap - 3,5 tablespoons (I used 2 tablespoons)
- liquid oil- 4 tablespoons (I used 2 tablespoons of mineral oit)
drywall joint compound: amzn.to/3GZRytV
I think it's much easier to find at a hardware store, you want to look for a putty/compound which is based on plaster of Paris and has working life of no less then 45-60 minutes

Thank you so much for giving us these recipes. They will save us all a lot of money. I really like how you use eye shadow in your 3D paint, because it contains Micah Powder that adds a beautiful shimmer to it. I use a product by Pentart called '2 Part Fine Line Crackle Varnish' and it creates the look of antique porcelain with very fine cracks on any surface. After applying the 2 parts and letting it dry, you highlight the cracks with a solvent based antiquing paste, or you can use eye shadow, which is a much cheaper alternative and it looks fantastic. I use brown, gold, silver, dark grey or whichever colour I think will suit my project. Brown or dark grey Eye shadow also looks great over clear wax, especially on detailed clay mouldings. I put some clear wax on a cloth and rub it all over the moulding, let it set for 30 minutes, and then rub some eye shadow over the wax, into the crevices of the moulding, to highlight the details. And, if you don't like the result, then you can just use more clear wax to remove the eye shadow and start again. Lots of love from Amanda Jones in Australia

I'm loving this, I watch a channel called "Creative Cat," and she makes all her own home made craft supplies. She makes a paper clay, puffy paints, gesso, silicone molds, for her clay, and so much more. You might enjoy her channel, if you ever need to make something, and can't think of what to do, she might have a recipe. Her paper clay maybe an easier dough, for you, if you have calcium carbonate. I am always so excited to try to make my own supplies. I use calcium carbonate, for my chalk paint, but I have some different clays here that my daughter uses, for face masks. She has a black and white clay, but I am not sure if it will work. It is bentonite clay. I like the look of clay based paints. Thank you, for all of the ideas. I like how you make the molds, less waste for the silicone.

Grazie! ❤ sto imparando moltissimo dai tuoi tutorials! Grazie mille! Un saluto dall’Italia! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💯🧚🏼‍♂️
