I also forgot to say that it would be nice to see a proper moulded fiber pulp carboard tray inside the packaging. That would look way better, presentation wise than simple folded thin cardboard (with plastic film).

Been using Time road pedals for 19 years. Currently have the Xpresso 8 and love them. Wanting to go to a shoe with a recessed cleat so looking at the XC 6 pedals. I am concerned about the quality since Sram bought Time pedals and moved production to Portugal. Maybe new facility teething problems or is Sram cutting corners in quality to maximise profits? Hmmm...

Also the groove on the axle tells you which pedal is L or R.

Yes, I only realised that after I made the video and noticed it on all my time pedals. No real way to update the video once its made however.😳 Even so, I forget whether the groove means left or right. It's not something I'm going to commit to long term memory.

Could you find the axles?

Hi! thanks for the review! On their website it says, the body/shell is made out of some "composite" material. looks like plastic to me. Do you have the impression that it can take a beating?

It is indeed plastic but with glass fiber reinforcement in a random orientation. Not the same as "real" carbon fibre. Good enough. I think they will be okay. But if you intent to be bashing your pedals on rocks, then perhaps get the newer metal alloy bodied "speciale" pedals by time instead?
