Yeah I absolutely love this seat. Had mine for the past two years and it’s been great. The last throne I had came with a starter kit that I owned for a decade and a half. But what a phenomenal difference that this seat makes compared to my old one. That old one was an absolute brick on my spine. The roc n soc feels like absolute heaven and I can most definitely sit on that for hours!

It way for comfy than my last seat… and it looks pretty cool too in my opinion.

I love the hydraulic concept. Dixon Drums brought out one years ago. And since I bought myself one, drumming is so much more comfortable.

Awesome review, I'm so glad I bought this throne!! I've had the same Pork Pie throne since 2001 and it's so worn that it's got me feeling like I'm sitting on the floor! I'm a big double bass guy myself and you saying this seat really accommodates for double bass players is so encouraging.

I bought one years ago, with a backrest. It's the best seat in the house..😊

Oh my gosh, I love it. This thing is so comfortable to play on, especially with the back support, and might be my imagination, but it feels like it allows me to play in a more relaxed state, and I’ve told that to other drummers, and they totally get what I’m saying I just kind of thought being relaxed and in your mind was just that, but this actually helps you sit down and relax, I love it. Thank you for your review am very pleased with it.

Great video, thanks! Quick question: how high do you prefer your drum throne, when measured from the floor to the top of the roc n soc seat?
@TrendyTreasureHunter5 ай бұрын
Thank you. I’m 6’2” and I keep it 2 feet from the floor. This throne does drop a bit when I sit on it though because of the shock-like feature. But whatever feels comfortable is the best height.
@kinserjosh5 ай бұрын
@@TrendyTreasureHunter I'm 6'3" and keep my throne 24" from the floor but there is approximately 1" less give in my throne than the roc n soc nitro since my throne is spindle variety. That was a great video. I have subscribed. Thank you

Hi, I suffer of scoliosis and i have uneven hips. I need a hard cushion, do you think roc n soc is firm enough in order to not deform under the body pressure or is it “squishy” and collapses under the body?
@ChadChesmark9 ай бұрын
I'm not sure. It does compress a bit like a shock absorber. I would recommend going to a music store and trying one out just to be certain.

What’s the maximum heighth, as I sit up high..?
@TrendyTreasureHunter5 ай бұрын
I'm not sure, but it's the highest throne I've ever had. I'm 6'2'' and also like to sit up high enough that my knees have greater than a 90-degree bend... and I don't even have it up all the way.

Is it the extended version that goes up to 29 inches or the regular one that goes up to 24? Thanks
@ChadChesmark3 ай бұрын
@@danieldion8825I think it’s the regular one. It’s goes to 24.88

which is better, roc n soc nitro or the ahead spinal g ?
@drumjedi53015 ай бұрын
I have the Spinal G. At first I really liked it, and it did ease stress on my spine as advertised. However, after about a year of regular use, I've found the channel in the middle to be irritating, and it creates pressure points on my rear that become quite painful by the end of a 3 hr set. Now, I'm a small man (5'6, 160), and my butt may simply be too narrow for the seat, lol, but I'm looking to replace it as I type this. The Roc n Soc is one I'm looking at now, thus watching this video. The Spinal G is very well built and the foam is really nice, but it doesn't work for me.
