I bought a custom e-bike but I started to do diy kits never really bought a Kirby kit most of the kits I get are off amazon, I prefer the 3 wire kit with the fuse instead of the quick connect setups because they have a tendency of melting and arcing

Hi, the key is to lock the battery in place. Take it out & put it on your keys so you don't loose them. Never ride with key in battery, if you loose the key you can't get a replacement so the battery is always on the bike. Hope this helps & ride safe my friend. E Ryder..

@davidwilcock1698 Hi again, 3 Green & 1 red means the battery is not on full charge. Charge it up until your charger is green & then it's charged. When you see red it's going down in power. You can still use it just emember to charge it up when 3 red is on battery. You could damage the battery if you let it go flat ie 4 red lights. Hope this helps E Ryder

Those Halfords ebikes are the biggest scam ever. I had one as my first ebike got it used on marketplace for 300 quid at the start of COVID. Pretty much immediately I could feel the huge lack of power you have to put in loads of effort just to keep it at the legal 15.5mph. I got rid of it after 3 months and built my current 1500w 52v and have never looked back.

The problem with the B6 is that it won't allow universally available replacement parts like a Throttle. Nearly all replacement parts are of a JULET connector type which is identical and should work, but no they don't, because the cables supplied are of a YH brand, meaning that you have to purchase a cheaply made Half Throttle from Hidoes direct at and astonishing cost of £36. Therefore today i am going to purchase a JULET Brand of Extender Cable and fit it, solving this problem ( hopefully? )🇬🇧

Ive been riding this bike now for about 2 weeks and it is loads of fun and ive been getting compliments on the looks of it and good conversation starter. The fastest ive done on it is 31mph. The 1200w motor is good enough for me and I have no plans to update it. Good just as it is.

Yeah convert a comfortable bike you already own. Takes 2 hours and a decent kit and battery isn't that much when compared to a new bike.

The height of this is actually much higher than many others, most of them you sit so low they look like old style bmx bikes and I don't know how anyone can pedal them. If you look his legs are almost stretched out when riding, check out others in the category, they sit all hunched down. check out the Hanevear dual 750W, you can raise the seat higher than you would ever want but the bike is not very stylish and only offered in blueish/grey color and a cool tan color, but it has a ton of power for hills.

Upgrade your controller dude and maybe the battery as well. The stock hub can handle a lot more than 750w you just need a higher amperage controller.

There are several companies who manufacture hub motors/controllers. you can make any of these just about as fast as you want, just depends on how much you want to spend- gets pricey when you have to add a higher voltage/amperage battery.

This bike can go 30 mph and anyone who is 16 can get a cbt test, insurance, mot after 3 years pay the tax, and drive it around just like a moped, although the data says you are 4 times more likely to die whilst riding a bike versus a car, my nephew was out riding to his girlfriends house got basically decapitated when he got hit head on by a drunk driver playing the fool, he went to prison the nephew went in the ground...
