Agreed, after my pebble steel unfortunately died, I have tried Samsung and garmin. And although my fenix 6 is a much better(and expensive) sport watch, pebble was just much more intuitive to use, and had better community made apps. Will never buy fitbit product.

Pebble died for a reason. It became the first stone to cause a ripple in the pond. It will always be that. Let it stay that. (Also as Google owns Fitbit which owns the Pebble IPs they aren't coming back. ) If anything you should wonder why amazon doesn't make a e-ink "kindle" watch.

If you hold the up or down button in the menu. The hands will start rotating, and then when you release, the hands will stop rotate. that's how you navigate the menu fast. and also why they changed the menu layout for this circular one. Fossil have just not been clear about this. I had the watch for more than a month before I figured out. but it works really well.

Have used a Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch for years. It worked well, but just looked like the rest of the normal smartwatches out there.. I wanted a nice watch and not have a black dot on my wrist. This watch does it for me.. I received it almost 15 days ago and after setting it up I gave it a full charge and have been wearing it on that charge now for 14 days and it still has 35% charge left and that is just amazing to me.

Does it vibrate on alram? I have ordered a hybrid gen 6 machine.. But not sure does it will do vibration or not.. It is important to me. Tnx
@mwales21129 ай бұрын
@@fahimahmad5334 I don't use that function, but just tested it out and yes it does vibrate and keeps doing that until you cancel it on the watch. The first full charge I put on this watch lasted me 25.5 days and that was during setup and messing with it since it was new. My second charge last 28 full days. I really like the watch..

FYI: You can press an hold the upper and lower buttons to select items from the menu. The hands will continuesly spin until you let the button go. With a little bit of training you'll get used to it (the hands move pretty quickly), so selecting a particular entry is really quick and easy. Also, the front glass isn't a capacitive button for the light. It depends only on the G meter readings. So tapping the strap or even the back of your hand will activate the light. For me it's almost the perfect smart watch. Over two weeks of battery life, classic design and all the information I need (I don't use the watch for working out). The only two major let downs are the comicly weak vibration and not being able to quick reply on messages. Also the unusual stop watch function and a timer that can't count down seconds are a bit annoying but not a deal breaker.

Are the vibrations still strong enough to wake you up for alarms in the morning?
@ActionHeinz Жыл бұрын
@@lexrex9736 Hard to tell... for me it's barely strong enough. It does the job but often it takes a bit until I realize the alarm went off. I still use my smartphone as backup alarm cause I don't trust the watch to wake me up in every case that could happen. Having your arm in a position with the watch not making full contact with your wrist combined with a very deep sleep... that seems too risky.

@@ActionHeinz 4:29 there is an option to make the vibrations intensity higher does it make it better ? If you put it on the highest is it good enough? (Excuse me for all the questions but I don't have the watch and I'm trying to find the best watch for me)😅
@ActionHeinz Жыл бұрын
@@lexrex9736 No problem, ask as many questions as you want. The vibration intensity goes from butterfly to cotton ball... So no, it does not help to select the strongest setting cause it's still very weak. Honestly it's the weakest vibration from any smart device I've ever owned...

Looks good. But it would be also great if you could show how notification actually work. Like, is it any vibration when you have an incoming call or new message? How it looks like on the watch. Which message notifications it could show (from which apps)? Etc.

I see a few different variations on Fossil's website. This is the "Neutra", but there's also "Machine" which I have seen other reviews for. These seem to be the ones targeted to men while the "Stella" and "Carlie" seem to be targeted towards women. Are all of these variations simply different physical designs, or do they actually have some functional differences?

I’ve used this watch for more than a year and I love it a lot. You would only need to charge it every 2 weeks or even 20 days. It has all the features that I truly care about, probably the only ones I would ever need. I honestly think more people should be excited about this. The only drawback is maybe the delay on the heart rate detection so you can’t really use this in the gym.

I've had a Skagen Jorn for 2 years and liked it for the most part with my iPhone but it's completely unusable with my Samsung. The only way to receive watch alerts on my Samsung is to have my phone on "sound" mode! Also, when "sound mode" IS on so I actually receive watch alerts, there's no way to stop my watch from notifying me every time a new song starts playing through my music streaming app. So every 5 minutes I get a watch notification saying a new song is playing, like, thanks... and there's no way to stop it! Naturally, I miss real text notifications because I think they're just music app notifications. It's horrible! Also, i hate how every time i sit up from a chair the middle button gets pressed by accident and it takes 3 MINUTES for the menu to auto-exit. So, half the time when i look at the watch it's actually in the menu and i have to exit it just to tell the time!! This happens 2-3X per day. It should be a 10 second timeout tops. In fact, it's so easy to accidentally press these buttons that I trigger the "ring your phone" button that I programmed on top at least once/day, always in an awkward place like class or the library. Other issues are the light never comes on unless I really punch the watch several times and the "hands automatically moving around" thing happens half the time I simply look at my watch so i have to wait 2 seconds just to tell time. I've written to Skagen several times and they just don't care that these amazing watches are completely unusable due to horrible software. All I really want is to have a 10 second auto-exit menu, the ability to specify which apps give me notifications (phone, text, & Facebook messenger only), and to ACTUALLY work whether my Samsung is on sound, vibrate, or silent mode. I'm saying all this because I'm hoping maybe you can provide feedback on whether the Fossil has any of these issues. Thanks.

a long and difficult way to raise a question. Probably that's the reason you never received an answer ;)
