I used command hooks on my foam board and propped it up with an easel. Easy.

Magnetic bulletin boards and magnetic hooks or clips work Dollar Tree has pack of 4 magnetic clips for $1. Walmart large magnetic boards in office supply $17.96 Also painted some corkboards and used pushpins to hole earrings and necklaces

I'm sure lots of people know this, but they do sell the foam core boards in tri-fold so you don't have to worry about gluing something in the back to make it stand up. It would look similar to your fireplace screen but just in foam board. I actually used one to display a lot of my Mum's crafts that she did plus photos when I had a memorial luncheon for her after she passed. It looked great and everyone loved it! Thanks for the great ideas.

I noticed that it's kind of hard to see the jewelry. If I use the fireplace screen, could I glue some black poster-board on the back? Do you think that would cause problems with the hooks?

Sheryl Shenberger your welcome Sheryl! The hooks come with rubber backs to secure the hook by simple sliding them on. The jewelry is not too heavy for the screen so I have had no problems. It has worked great for me! Thanks for watching girl!
