The BEST & Easiest Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs l LA Galbi l Better than restaurants

Galbi, Korean beef short ribs, is one of the most popular dish from Korean bbq restaurants. There are many recipes but they taste like homemade, not the one from Korean bbq restaurants. In this video, I share how to get the taste like Korean bbq restaurants at home. You don’t need to ground up fruits. Too much fruits like pineapples or kiwis will actually make the beef mushy, not tender. This is a simple and easy yet the best marinade for Korean bbq beef short ribs and I will also show you how to cook Galbi at home on a frying pan.
Ingredients for 8 servings
Marinade
- 1 can Milkis original (250ml)
: I but it from local Korean or asian grocery store

- 1 cup Korean crushed pear juice
: I buy it from local H mart

- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
: I use pre minced garlic for connivence.
This is the brand I use but I buy it from local H mart, not online.

- 1/2 tap aji-no-moto
- 1/4 ~1/2 tsp baking soda
- 4 Tbsp brown sugar (packed)
- 4 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tap sesame oil
Beef
4.5~4.6lb beef short rib slices
: I buy it from Costco.
Costco sells this beef at $9.99 / lb whereas H mart sells at $12.99 /lb.
Costco doesn’t trim fat so I need to trim it while H mart trims fat better.
