Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter game with survival horror and stealth elements. Set in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the former Russian Federation after the events of Metro: Last Light. The game continues the story from Metro: Last Light's "Redemption" ending. Similar to the previous two entries, the player assumes the role of Artyom who flees the Metro in Moscow and sets off on a continent-spanning journey with Spartan Rangers to the far east. Artyom first travels around the Volga River, not far from the Ural Mountains, to get a ride on a locomotive known as the "Aurora" that heads east for a new life. The story takes place over the course of one year, starting with a harsh nuclear winter in the metro.

Metro has never been known for it's Easter eggs, but Exodus does have a few things worth sharing so I hope you enjoy.

What are you talking about? They are just not visible to you, the casual western game-player. Both first titles of Metro are filled with easter eggs, but they are understandable only to the people with Soviet\Russian cultural background. For example the "Raissa Vperde" sign on the level with a crashed airplane in Last Light which was a mocking of incorrect russian spelling of the slogan "Russia Vpered" or "Russia Forward!" Exodus is different in this regard as it tried to embrace all audiences combined.

i don't know if it's a possible easter egg or not. after you saved anna from an ammo dump (Volga stage) with Sam and Damir, Damir will asks Sam what's US bases look like, Sam answered, there is giant humanoid robot with nuclear reactor up their asses, painted with star and stripes i think that was a reference to Liberty Prime from Fallout

There’s another easter egg to Last Light on the Caspian level. At the air field on the North East area of the map, in the one story building in between the air traffic control tower and the air hanger, on the far right wall in the back room there’s graffiti that says Regina, which was the name of the armored railcar Artyom uses to travel to Venice after escaping capture from the Red Line.

SPOILERS! There’s also a subtle form of foreshadowing to Millers death on the Caspian in the communications bunker. In the room where Artyom is required to cross a platform, but the structure falls and a single spider bug appears, at the bottom of the stairs if you continue forward and break the glass on the left, there is a dead body you can loot next to a dead spider bug. This dead body is wearing the same radiation suit Miller wears during the Moscow mission, as well as the beginning of the Yamentau mission. This alone may seem like a coincidence; however, this dead body also has the exact same prosthetic legs Miller has.

During Volga what you’re taken the tugboat with the other rangers, if you look at the flagpole you can see that it’s the Red Line flag from Metro 2033 and Last Light. Also, throughout the game there are photos of a guy in scrap armor and a gas mask that looks like a cow’s skull or something which is a reference to Glukhovsky’s Outpost series which is set in the same universe as Metro 2033 but in America.

In the Caspian Sea Communication center, after the spiderbug breaks the bridge, underneath of it is a dead body wearing orange with a crowbar next to him, next to his body is an upturned dead spiderbug with its tail buried in the sand, giving it a headcrab-like appearance.
