‪@DavidBeebee‬ Recently did a video on this and it re-inspired me to once again try some more things with the Shuffling Looper. This is just about (I think) the most creative effect out there, in terms of taking a piece of sound, and turning it into something with Rhythmic and Pitch interest....You can do infinite stuff with this thing, and Beebs' idea of using both 32 slices and a 32 sequence length yields some cool results. Try keeping slice length at 8 and sequence length at 32 for a pattern that transforms over 4 repetitions!!

Looper, EQ, tuner, MIDI, amp switching, audio interface, stereo sends… even without amps and effects the stomp is a great pedalboard addition.

I love this feature. I like to link my expression pedal to the volume of the shuffle so that I can set it where I want it in the mix. That's the only way I've really been able to make it sound musical.

I got the general patches this morning for my helix and good lord, there are so many presets in there I don't know how I will be able to test them all out but I can't wait to try. if you own a helix it's the best couple bucks you'll spend to get these and you'll be supporting a great informative channel. Here's a great idea for a video or even video series, I think: the least DSP-hungry modules from each category in the Helix and why they're great. The most favourite(-st?) tone I've gotten out of the HX Stomp so far was yesterday when I ran out of cpu and swapped whatever DSP-munching amp I was using with the Placater Clean. The combination of that and what i'd otherwise done to get the right sounds with the previous amp where a perfect match!

Shuffling Looper is a whole lot of fun although once you've set it going you can't change it without stopping, clearing and re-recording. It needs a "refresh source material" button with an adjustable crossfade, assignable to Expression Pedal. That way you could change chord/key and take the effect with you. Nice video! That looks like a cool effect. I'm having a hard time deciding whether I want a tube amp or a helix lt. The tube amp would probably give me a better feel, but it has so many cons. I would have to have a bunch of pedals for the tones I need and I play jazz, blues, rock, and classical stuff, so being able to just click a button and then be able to effortlessly change presets or snapshots would be so nice. Also a modeler is way lighter. Would you be able to give me some wisdom about what would be the better option for my needs? I already am leaning towards the modeler.

My personal favorite is Heliosphere. I usually have two per patch. One for a bigger stereo spread on quiet parts, one set for swells. I wish they would consider developing and releasing some kind of profiling feature.

I haven't really looked into the Shuffling Looper much, though what it can do looks interesting. I thought it was probably going to use up a bunch of Blocks like the regular Looper, thus limiting the sound of what I could record/loop. And, it doesn't have "auto-sensing" so it can't start recording automatically when it "hears" a loud enough sound. Without auto-sensing, it's a non-starter for me. I'm very hopeful that Line 6 will find a way to implement auto-sensing in their next Firmware Update. 🤞
