We continue on our journey into the Hemisphere Suite alternative firmware for the amazing Eurorack module, Ornament & Crime. These first to related modes, ADSR and AD give us access to some fun and playable envelopes that can perform bread and butter functions or a few interesting, quirky things as well!

the module freezes up. Can't use it! Works fine with OC software, freezes with hemisphere software after a little while triggering the AR envelope app on both triggers.

I still have my doubts to change it to hemisphere, that is steady? I believe not and can use the D Mk4 for some other functions 4 ch seen to be better as a sequencer my thoughts maybe I’m wrong

Hemisphere suite is surprisingly stable. Very quick to navigate and user friendly. I personally find it a bit more intuitive than the standard o_C firmware. Plus you could always change back to o_C if you don't like Hemisphere.

I could only use it in a limited number of live performances before the lockdown separated me and my Eurorack, but it never gave me any issues.

Hi, Great vid and fab to see the author is still looking at fixing bugs and making improvments. Ive already had lots of fun with the Hemisphere firmware and I've barely scratched the surface. I do miss the original OC apps though.I know its super easy to switch back but the twin app thing is so cool. I'"ll def get another OC if I see one used for a decent price. But, why do you use the OC mounted upsides down? Just curious.

Thanks for watching McShafty! As far as the inverted module, Hemisphere Suite has a pre-compiled option that is inverted. I have it in my mobile case, and that case is arranged so that modules I touch the most are on the bottom row, almost all of which have their connections at the top of the modules. This inverted mode was handy for performance, because I can operate the module without having to reach around cables (which in performance might lead to accidental destruction from unexpected or nervous motion) and it has been super handy for filming because it's much easier to get the camera way in there with a macro lens and capture that tiny screen on camera, something that was a total hassle in my previous O&C videos!

I think latency is likely relative to the overall Teensy latency, which is very small, in the original ornament and crime firmware it was less than 100 MICROseconds... Pretty dang responsive!

the AD latency jumps anywhere between 0.0554 and 0.1136ms and ADSR latency between 0.0502 and 0.1098ms

The envelopes freeze. Module sucks. Needs to bugs removed. Can't be having my envelopes freeze during a set. Not good! Have to replace with Maths or Tides. need EOC AD
