As someone who's been away from their main Eurorack since April, the O_c is probably the one module I missed the most... Looking forward to finally building another one! Would you ever see your doing a video on the Plum Audio OCP? DIY O_C with enhancements. Love from India!

It does look slim. Do you know what the VOR support is?
@danieldixon21744 жыл бұрын
@@mcshafty1 VOR makes you select the CV range in both input and output, but the hardware needs to support it too. The problem with O_c is that the range by default is a bit weird (-3/+6) so VOR can fix that so it can be set to -5/+5 or 0/-10

Is the Quadrature LFO in Hemisphere??
@shivahuja4 жыл бұрын
a bit of a noob question but if I install Hemispheres can I still access the other O_C apps if I don't want to use Hemispheres? sequins etc? or does it overwrite?
@danieldixon21744 жыл бұрын
No, a very early and limited version of Hemisphere (which wasn't called "Suite" yet) was able to run side by side the regular apps, replacing the Meta-q app only. But the suite completely replaces the default apps and the settings you saved for them.
@elm_assembly3 жыл бұрын
@@danieldixon2174 which is a total shame today, since there are now a bunch of relatively niche (yet useful, sure) add-ons in the suite - captain midi, enigma, darkest timeline, pong - that are taking the place of screensavers and original O_C modes. a configuration wizard that lets the user brew their own suite, even down to the individual applets in hemispheres (!), would be so sweet. but so would a million bucks. ultimately, though, with O_C and the work put into it, this is like complaining that it's too warm on a sunny beach full of sexy people.
@mikefisher844 жыл бұрын
Great video! What’s the reasoning behind mounting the module upside down and how do you do this?
@voltagecontrollab4 жыл бұрын
This is the “inverted” version of Hemisphere suite, the idea being that the jacks can be at the top of the module and the screen at the bottom, making it easier the play and film!

So I recently bought the Disting MK4 but there's a part of me that wishes I would've bought this one instead.
@seanshea85964 жыл бұрын
I have a couple Disting mk3 and two O&C's one normal, and the other running hemisphere. I would say that the disting has more practical uses and that hemisphere has a few more esoteric functions. Both are worth having.
@stephanmobius13804 жыл бұрын
Second the original poster. I seldom use my disting4 but i often use at least one utility of the hemispheres, because no need for a manual. Its more immediate with the visual feedback. BUT i do miss the quantization from the O_C. Its way superior to the Hemispheres Quants.

Couldn't find anything about this anywhere, with Hemisphere, (as well as the additionial apps) the left encoder is mirrored: turning clockwise, values go down, counter clockwise, values go up. Annoying as hell. Is it a bug or a 'feature'?

That sounds like a bug for sure...

Voltage Control Lab, Chysn is indeed responsive: Encoder directions can be specified within the calibration mode, using the lower or down pointing tact switch in the order: normal > R reversed > L reversed > LR reversed. Cheers.

oh no if i upgrade my hemisphere do i have to calibrate it? i dont know if my tools are precise enuff for that

@meerkatzThe234 жыл бұрын
what would you pay for a used o&c?
@voltagecontrollab4 жыл бұрын
Tough question... Why would anyone SELL it to begin with, would be my concern! Price wise, I'd look on reverb and see what the going rate is for used ones. There are a lot of different form factors, so that's also complicating things.
