OOH - the darker version of this (moving the Mics to position 6.7) sounds really good I think! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iprEnWCJnK98iK8

I would love this in the folder. I always experiment with new amps, but at the end of the day, I always come back to classic Fender tones. This preset sounds amazing.

Thanks for the walkthrough. Duped the tone on my Stomp and am really enjoying it with my MIM Strat! Was considering buying another Neural DSP amp during Black Friday sale, but this tone convinced me I don't need to!

Lovely tone! Top drawer playing! I'm relatively new to Helix and am finding the field of choice dominated by distortion. Obviously there are no metalheads in my house, though an occasional good quality melodic shred beyond repetitive power bar chords and third generation three-note bend ruts is most welcome. I'd really like to expand the library of cleans to provide better balance, and be more selective with dirt. This channel really helps with the technical settings and has the bonus of being inspirational. Kudos John!

Hey John, Try using the Minotaur, Gain 1.5, Tone about 5ish, Level 7.0 instead of the Scream 808 for a different "Strat-ey" kinda tone! I think that you will like it. Add a little light Adriatic Delay and that Dynamic Ambience (at 12 meters - I wish you could fine tune that room size more!).

It's been a long time since I've played a real Fender Amp, but of the the Factory Presets, the US Princess reminds me most of the deep, round fullness they have in the bass. But, it's been a long time.

I always forget the trick with setting the scale to 80% to get the 'Timmons' dual sound on the Elephant Man. So I end up using the Dual Delay which doesn't have the same mojo. Thanks for this. I've copied the amp/cab settings for now and it sounds great with my Tele. If you do decide to drop it in the folder, I'll still grab it too

Thanks for this. Dialed it in on my XL from the video. I’m finally getting the best out of my EJ Strat. With a little tweaking, it also gets a great funk tone. This clean tone could be the base for so many individual tones. Nice work.

Couldn't wait for the ball to drop so I followed your tutorial and built the preset. I agree this is the best Fender clean preset you've created, perfect stat tone. If you could also post the backing track, that would be a bonus, thanks.

this is an amazing job and a great tone, my question is on the parameters for the elephant man, are they different on the Floor? I am running 3.5 but you have a couple that are different than mine, you have "spread" and "Scale", on the floor I have no such parameters but I have Headroom, wondering what the Dif is

Thanks for sharing your tone secrets. I plugged my Les Paul into the preset. I was surprised how much hair was immediately in the tone, even without the first equation and TS808.. How would you adjust for Les Paul.? Less bass, less drive, or from volume control on guitar. I suspect I would have a similar experience with EMG strat pickups.

Can you do a video on getting clean and driven tones in the style of Eric Johnson using HX effects?
@Wound3rd2 жыл бұрын
Just curious if you've tried the "tone matched" presets for Helix? I've tried a few and they sound great at the sampled sound but if you begin to tweak they can sound like a blanket was thrown over it. Essentially it's a clean pedal platform to me. I've really enjoyed following here lately and getting back to stock cabs and I can't wait to try the new ones. Unfortunately I'm on a nearly month-long trip and it will be another week before I'm home to try it out. Cheers!
@johnnathancordy2 жыл бұрын
I did a video about it. The one IR that I analysed had a built in high cut which may explain the blanketed-ness?
@Wound3rd2 жыл бұрын
@@johnnathancordy ah......I must've missed that one. I'll look for it. My thought was, once you change the sampled settings, it might not necessarily be "matched" any longer.
