Just watched this one and another one of yours..... It's Friday, I'm fucked off with the world and had enough. But after watching this and your video from couple years ago on the biggest decision of your life..... I've found myself smiling, settled, remembering that same desire of yours to get out and see the world. The visuals, the calm music, the lack of voice - over.....I can't tell you how therapeutic your videos are.

This evokes a lot of emotions. I lost my Dad last year. He loved camping like his soul was attached to the outback. So, I would love to do something like this. I am definitely not as skilled as my old man in regards to this kind of thing but I'd love to try. Thanks Josh for showing, clarifying and visualising something that a lot of us don't get to see... your cinematic sequences are awesome !!

Beautifully done. And thanks for the wrap-up at the end. I've done a bit of hiking, but the body complains a fair bit these days 😂. I climbed Bluff Knoll a couple of years back-that in itself is a solid climb. Reminded me somewhat of St Mary's Peak here in SA. Look forward to seeing more.

Epic . 11:42 looks correct path, quite sketchy if you are hiking on your own, I'd guess it was difficult to recover camera. A rope and a friend to lower or haul pack is useful in those spots. 11.54 you are certainly breaking new ground there. Glad you had favourable weather to keep you company.
@JoshCarrHikes

Cheers Jamie! Funny you say that, I actually thought I was offtrail at 11:42 and ontrail at 11:54! At 11:54 there was actually a bunch of little cairns that someone had placed all along there. Who knows 😂 I feel like I need to redo it just to figure out the actual track!

Great video and narration mate. Have climbed Bluff Knoll in September 2019, but on a uncharacteristically hot day with constant NE winds. So unfortunately missed out on the fog and cold weather that I was hoping to experience. On a side note, good to see that the Stirling Ranges has recovered quite well from the devastating bush fires last year. It looked quite green and nice. Are there still any signs of the bushfire? Oh and how is the new Bluff Knoll hiking track?
@JoshCarrHikes
@JoshCarrHikes 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Shounak! That’s a bit of a bugger but seems to be very much a luck game whether you get the fog & clouds rolling over the ranges. It’s a hell of lot greener now than a few months ago, but it’s still pretty evident a fire ripped through the area. Certain parts were a lot worse than others but was still good to see it recovering. Bluff Knoll track is great, they’ve done a great job of it. To be honest I didn’t really notice much difference though to when it ~3 years ago

Hey Josh, great video as usual. How do you like the Atlas Adventure as someone who’s used it extensively? Have you been able to use it as carry on or do you have to check it while flying. Thanks for your help
@JoshCarrHikes
@JoshCarrHikes 3 жыл бұрын
I’m a big fan, it’s pretty hard to fault really. If I had to pick on something it would the weight as it’s a pretty hefty pack. But as someone’s that’s into the outdoors and videography/photography it’s near-on a perfect bag. Keeps all the camera gear safe whilst also having enough room to carry the hiking essentials. I haven’t used it as carry on before but that’s meant to be one their biggest selling points
