From what I read about foreigners moving to Romania its seems difficult, was that as struggle for you guys at all? My soon-to-be fiancé was born there so she's a citizen but I'm a US citizen. Not clear what I need to do to stay more than 3 months? Any advice you have I would appreciate! Welcome back home!

Thank you! The cultural changes was easy to adapt to with an open mind, also because the Romanian people are so so kind and willing to help anyway possible! The hardest part was the language since we didn’t speak Romanian. I wish I would have learned more before, but we moved on a whim so we just tried to learn as we go! You definitely will need a visa to stay past the 90 days (we actually had to leave after 90 because my visa was delayed) they’ve moved most of the immigration process online which is a HUGE blessing! You can go to the Romania GOV website and create an account to find out which paperwork’s you need! If you are working, your job should help take care of the visa for you. If you aren’t working, you can do a family visa & basically your fiancé would be the sponsor (which is what we did in my case).

So you celebrated Canada Day (July 1st( with tuica!. Anyway, energy drinks are soda, just worse. They are soda on steroids so better to avoid them. Oh and Dr Pepper can be found in Romania in some store at times but not always.

When I first moved to Romania I didn’t think Dr.Pepper existed but I did end up finding it at Kaufland 🥳🥳

@@sierramarie I think it's imported from Belgium as there isn't much demand for it, they did not invest in building the brand. Oh btw, i am somewhat sure but not certain that the Zero and Diet versions (no idea about normal version) use aspartame and apparently the WHO is about to declare aspartame as 'possibly carcinogenic to humans'. Doubt the US bans it but maybe they do change the formula to avoid a drop in demand.

Yes the aspartame is one of the main reasons why we stopped drinking diet. There are so many things coming out about the affects… I doubt the US will ban it but at least now we know and can be aware!

@@sierramarie The way it works with chemicals is, we use something for a few decades, then we figure out it's bad and then it takes 1-2 more decades to ban it. Its not gonna be all chemicals but many and this is how it goes and why it's best to eat fresh (as in natural, not processed, no chemicals) as we'll keep figuring out that some of the chemicals we now use are bad. Actually last year the EU was saying that they intend to ban another 12k chemicals by 2030 (not just food related in other industries too) and it's not going too well, they likely end up not doing much, at least not in the time frame.
