I was in Sephora over the holidays and got a chance to smell bad boy extreme , I honestly wish I’d have smelled it before I bought le male elixir and boss bottled elixir , I know they don’t smell crazy similar but for the colder weather I think I’d like it much more

I feel like 2023 takes this. Other than TdH Eau Givree, Italian Love and mayube 1 Million Elixir, I think all the 2023 frags win the comparisons. And especially when it came to the last couple of frags, I dont rly care about any of the 2022 releases while some of the 2023 frags listed last are still amazing, like Bottled Elixir or Gucci Elixir

Two things become glaringly obvious to me from watching this video: My suspicion is confirmed that Ash is the FragCom G.O.A.T... Fragrance Jesus wouldn't make those two small mistakes. And second, fifteen (or perhaps twenty-five!) of those are still on my "buy list"... my collection is trash! 😂

For me, quality beats quantity, and since no one can own everything, I'd put my top 5 from each year against each other, and if I do that, 2022 crushes 2023. A big part of that has to go to Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, which probably stands out as the best individual release from 2021, 2022, or 2023. 2023 had some really solid releases, and if we're basing it on points by number of okay releases I can understand, but otherwise I have to give it to 2022.

@@WhiteRangerTP I'd say it was the best release of either 2022 or 2023, and if you're considering which year was better for releases, one factor to consider, though not the only factor, is what was the best overall release. My next consideration is best five from each year and what the better batch of five was. Quantity of releases is a distant consideration. Anyway, I'm on vacation, don't bother me no more.

summer vibes is not similar to eau intense what so ever. summer vibes is powdery and very soft. eau intense is strong loud and aquatic. I don't smell any similarities between the two honestly

JPG Elixir is so overrated ffs, Bisch just put a ton of synthetic vanilla and it's that on top le male le parfum which is better. It also has barely and tobacco and honey. 2022 wins for sure

The very top ones should have included a few of the new elixirs, particularly Gucci Elixir, and Boss Elixir. In fact I put the Gucci as the #1 of the year, then Le Male and the Boss both kind of even at second place.

Yes I'm not exactly young ;) But the best smells are not necessarily the ones young crowds (or old crowds for that matter) will gravitate towards the most. So an age-favorite bias is really unrelated to the quality of a fragrance

If you go strictly per designer you get a clearer picture. JPG - Le Male Elixir trumps Scandal LP and Le Beau LP Givenchy - Reserve Privee and Society don't even fit in the same sentence, so it's a win for 2022. Azzaro - The Most Wanted P beats out anything they released after it, by far. Armani - Stronger With You Oud is the best they released in two years, others being half-assed re-releases of scents from yesteryear. Hermes - they only released in 2022. Dior - only released in 2022. Paco Rabanne - Split. One Million Elixir is better than Royal or Golden Oud. Invictus Victory Elixir is better than Invictus Platinum. Phantom Parfum is just awful, and worse than Legion, if that's possible. YSL - they just had awful releases, wouldn't even count them in this. Valentino - same as YSL, just awful same old boring ambroxany amberwoody scents. Kenzo - they had better releases in 2022. Narciso - they only released the splendid Parfum in 2022. Boss - Bottled Elixir trumps Bottled Parfum, likewise The Scent Magnetic trumps The Scent Le Parfum, so a win for 2023. Overall, while JPG and Boss had better 2023 releases, others had better 2022 releases and that seems to be the better year, objectively. Ciao

Both YSL and Valentino had a much better 2023 and 2022 and you just comletely ignore Gucci, one of the biggest designers out there, and their 2023 was infinitely better. For Armani, AdG Parfum is much better than SWY Oud. Also, this way of comparison is disingenious at best, as LM Elixir would easily trump any of the 2022 releases
