UPDATE ON SKETCHBOOK: It was just brought to my attention that Sketchbook has been acquired by another company and is no longer free on desktop. It's now $20 American or $27 Canadian. The tablet version is still currently free and it is still possible to find download links to the older free versions online such as 8.7.1 which is what I'm using currently.

Thank you for making this video! I've been using sketchbook pro for over a year but always felt like maybe I was stunting my development by not using one of the "big guys" in the software world, like Procreate or PS. I've been trying to transition over to Krita or Sai but I just feel so comfy with Sketchbook. Before you I haven't heard any professionals talk about sketchbook, which made me uncertain. But this is all the validation I need, sketchbook works for me and my art has grown immensely since I started drawing digitally.

That's a great tutorial! I've been drawing in sketchbook for a year now, it's easy to use, what I like most about it - the design! Whenever I go to photoshop, cause pros draw in it, just to try, I get immediately terrified by all the stuff that's happening on the screen, and I'm getting confused, it's simply too hard for me. While in sketchbook I'm like flowing in the water, everything is simple and beautiful and very easy to learn and draw, absolutely love it!

I was pretty ceptical about to get into digital art, cause ,even if I know how to draw, theres an huge learning curve about the software and m.o. using it! Sketchbook Pro totally elliminates that!! The layout its pretty obvious and easy to work with! The tools are amazing, from vertical and horizontal mirroring, predictive strokes, or even make our own brushs from scratch (literally). I think just needs a vectorization feature to make it perffect. Nice video and Alita vs Venom was a great idea and it turned out great ;)

Glad this finally got the recognition it needed. I remember when I was in high school and it was in 1.0. You had to pay $5 for the pro sets and later it got better with each year. Eventually when it became free to use even better sets and features came out and I still use it to this day

I was using Sketchbook Pro for illustrations for over a year or so and it was my first drawing software (I paid for Pro version because free version had a limited number of layers and other harsh limitations), but once I switched to Clip Studio Paint I've noticed a significant improvement in quality of my drawings, day and night difference. Would even recommend it over Photoshop for illustration purposes, because it has dedicated tools for this that no other software has.
