The best games of 2022 (other than Elden Ring)

While Elden Ring has generated a lot of buzz and excitement, there are other games that interested me more in terms of gameplay, storytelling, and overall enjoyment. I'll be sharing my top picks for the best games of 2022 and explaining why I think they're the ones you should play. If you're a fan of Elden Ring or just want to know what other games to catch up on from this year, you'll find something great to play here.

What was your favorite game in 2022?

It’s actually a older game, but still a favourite in 2022. Fire Emblems Three Houses, it helped me through the year. I loved every character in that game, even the persons flaws. One guy loved to take naps so skip a turn with him makes him heal. Bernadette stays in her room because off social anx and her skill is persecution complex. One red haired guy is popular with the women’s which makes him stronger if standing the tile next to a woman. Edelgard the empress have an interesting story the player will have a part in. Only downside is to start a relationship in S tier it almost only supports Straight relationships. Say you play as a female but then you can only date guys or vice versa. I was in the 12 chapter so late game when I realised i couldn’t marry a certain character. 10/10 is still the final score. 😂

Happy holidays, Matt! Great video! So glad you touched on Midnight Suns and Teenage Excolonist (Two games I gotta add to my Steam Deck backlog!). I found a lot of enjoyment in Lost Eidolons this year! (Strategy RPG similar to Fire Emblem!). A little rough around the edges but I heartily recommend if you need more fire emblem-esque action in your life! Cheers to good gaming memories in 2023! 🥂

Because you enjoy different kind of games rather than appreciating what people can do to push their game developing skills and be creative with what they got. lol. Games that change standards . like what you like but you cant say a five star chef made didnt make a five star dish because it had mushrooms in it, and you dont prefer mushrooms.
