Okay hi. Im on Bryn/Crystal. I noticed you said hand/land will be your end game. When ever you pick it up make sure that, aside from the current items you gather or craft, you find something that sells frequently even if it's not a huge profit. This is your "bread and butter" gil maker. It keeps you able to teleport and able to invest in items you can later flip for a higher price if only slightly. Keep in mind the school year and the school break times like spring break, summer and fall holidays. Prices increase around these times. Also when the housing district expands again or when a new zone is released (with an influx of xbox players, and expansion release in time for fall holidays which will make DT expansion a gift for many players after the inital drop, housing increases will happen though im sure the lottery system will stay in place) once it gets close go ahead and "stalk" the market board for popular items. Pre craft those and put them up. Also, when new map materials and minions for the current expansion are great too. So now would be EW maps and soon DT. While there is no guarantee for drops you'll have fun in the process. I do not suggest extreme farming for materials as this is very time consuming and for a crater or gather you could make equal the amount or more just doing the work. However for those who don't like crafting and gathering then extreme farming is what i recommend. Of course this is when you have reached the current content. Also items like minions and hair styles from the island sanctuary, eureka and the bojan front (i could be misspelling that last one) are also a way to make some gil if you prefer grinding or battle and are not afraid of farming and spending a good portion of time doing so. Then for the crafters and gathers there's also script materials you can buy and then sell. Same thing for crafting materials that require your tomes (always check to make sure there's a profit somewhere before spending tomes and scripts. You can alao use the univalis app this way too.) When checking before hand for selling an item always be sure to look at the transaction history of the item. When i do this i look for: how often are these selling? What's the average price? Am i going to be able to get the materials on my own to increase my profit or will i need to buy materials and lessen the amount of gil i get in return? If the average price in the history is lower than what's on the board currently, then most likely the sellers are hiking the price which will lessen the frequency of sales. I personally don't like selling items if the history for that item reads more than today's date and two days ago. This means there's a high and low point to them or that they are no longer popular or in demand depending on the gap in sales and they will most likely be a waste of time when you're broke. If the items in the history list flood the page of sales in the last 24 hours, make sure the purchases are of decent quantity or small quantities should be decently priced. My rule of thumb when undercutting! Reduce the price as little as possible to be respectful to others. I go anywhere between 1 gil to 1,000 gil depending on the previous price set before mine. UNLESS the sellers are hiking up the prices against the transaction history average price. Then I will match the average even if it's a large cut. It's not fair to step on other players so may not have the time or guidance to make a decent amount of gil. Don't forget to use your retainers. If you set up your retainers to gather you can meld gathering materia into their gear (I don't suggest this until they are at least 60.) This will actually help because unlike battle retainers which only requires ilvl the gatherer retainers can use ilvl or gathering rate. Plus I believe it increases yield as well (don't quote me on that. If it's not yield increase then it's a reduction in time.) Aetherial reduction can also yield a profit. Items that are ridiculously priced like aldgoat horns selling for 999,999,999 is most likely being sold for RMT or they ran out of retainer space. Ignored stuff like that. The aforementioned beast tribes help too, not only with items but leveling your crafters and gatherers and battle classes too. Making your own gear saves gil. Once you have some flow going I suggest you tuck away some gil so that if you ever dip too low you have a stash. I use one of my retainers to hold my bread and butter sales. Speaking about retainers I do have 9... plus 2 alts also with 9. I do this for inventory space but you don't have to. You can make an alt and progress them to the point they unlock their free retainers if you need more space. Then you have more inventory. To trade, ask a friend to help or ask that they be invited to the fc and use a fc chest page to trade with yourself. Oh it's a very small turn around but look up the allagan pieces. Some sell below the npc store price so you can buy those (go to the city they are being sold in to avoid tax) and resell them at a vendor. Some sell higher than the vendor so check the transaction history and sell yours if it's worth it. This is because when changing servers you can only take a certain amount of gil will you. 999,999,999 I think. So to get around this those who have crazy gil (either they've played since day one, they use bots or RMT) they convert them into allagan pieces. This way it becomes an item for inventory. (I could be out of date and this limit could've been removed but I doubt it.) With new expansion comes new materia and the highest grade then will sell high and often for the first 2 weeks to possibly the first month. Speaking of materia, spirit bonding potions help. While crafting and gathering items at your level the potion increases your spirit bond so you can extract materia quicker then resets to 1% and you can start again. Also desynthesizing your gear gives you materials and some kind of crystal (crystal type depends on your gear level and what went into it.) You can also desynth other items too so just check your subcommands to see if that's an option on stuff you don't need. Also extract or reclaim all of your materia before desynthesizing. And finally! I think my last suggestion would be: if you like gathering and do not mind a tedious, time consuming task; you can gather shards, crystals and clusters to sell. I hope this helps. based on my gil making journey, this can work for a possible quick gil however, Nothing is stopping other players from server hopping as well and just buying it for cheap there and possibly reselling it on your server for a much more reasonable price than the overinflated one. Best way for me to make money was lvling land/hand, sourcing and making on demand items myself, specially some furniture and diadem mats. Granted it takes time, nothing comes easy.

Honestly Making Gil Is Extremely Easy Once You Understand How The Economy Works In Your Server! It's Rather Straightforward After You Learn This Small Piece Of Information You'll Be Able To Manipulate The Market However You See Fit.

While I respect people that play the market board, I don't respect any 'Gil Hacks' that rely on the market board. It's easier, more reliable, most consistent, and less effort to just do lvl 86 leve turn-in every 2 weeks for 1mil gil per alt (slow leveling alch alts being something that also takes next to no effort). Slow leveling alch from leve for a few weeks, then you can literally print 1 mil gil every 2 weeks per character (i prefer using retainers to collect the mats, since it equates to about 30 venture tokens becoming 1mil gil)

You can make a lot more money with a lot less effort (once you do your beast tribes). Simply buy dyes from the beast tribe vendors and sell them on the MB. Lots of profit potential as people are really lazy when it comes to dye farming.

Funny you used Faerie as the example we usually have the highest prices for things. Very easy to make some passive Gil just buying high volume items like White/Black dyes from other worlds to sell on Faerie.
