Happy Birthday again🎂Get well too. Again, playing on teeboxes and fairways that are better quality than greens on almost all other golf courses must be just incredible. When trying to stop a ball on those greens, I guess you measure how important it is to have the right ball/clubs and skillset...

What a truly lovely resort. Happy Birthday Peter, looks like you have a great time. As you say, it is just such a shame that resorts like that will be experienced by so few people, due to the cost. They charge the rate because they can get people to pay it. The average golfer could certainly not go there, but it's nice to have places like this to aspire towards. Was fortunate to live in area couple of decades ago. Adare is the most beautiful town I know. Surrounded by gorgeous horse farms. Adare Manor is unparalleled, yet Adare CC across river is at least as memorable, with several tees and greens next to monastery ruins. When area, do not miss playing @Dooks, the epitome of Irish golf. Lahinch, Ballybunion and Killarney Fish and Golf are all close by, as is the Dingle peninsula. Last but not least, the people of this area are the kindest, most welcoming of any I've encountered, and I travel extensively.

Played that course about 3 years ago, and it was top quality but now since JP Mc Manus took it over and pumped a ton of money into it it has gone from top class to literally a tour standard course

Fantastic video, Pete! I stayed at Adare Manor in 2013. Was with my wife and 2 other non-golfers so wasn't able to play, but I walked the course one evening and it was absolutely magical. Happy belated and best of luck with that man flu.

If anyone is in Adare I'd suggest playing Adare Manor Golf Club which is right next to Adare Manor. It's a good start to an Ireland golf holiday and there are some cool shots played around ruins and a graveyard.

If you think a Bentgrass tee is amazing then you should definitely come down to Australia, there is a course called Royal Canberra Golf Club which is high quality Bentgrass from tee to green!

My grandads dad was the pro there.btw u should go to ashford castle in co.mayo in Ireland there is a 9 hole golf course there.Really advise u go there.also beside the course is the best hotel in Europe.
