In this video I walk you through the Google ads bidding strategy options and which one I would recommend you use.
Using the right Google ads bidding strategy is essential. It's probably the single more important setting within your Google ad campaign.
Most Google advertisers will start with Maximise Conversions or Maximise Conversion Value.
But at some point you will want to add a Target CPA or Target ROAS.
Here I show you how to do that the right way.

A tip for you guys: keep a close eye on how many conversion you got before and after you increased troas - you might drop in growth by aiming to high. This needs to be balanced and ofc align with ur goals (growth/revenue). I have seen people going crazy of high roas numbers, but miss out how it can affect the growth and also revenue in the long run

If you can't track the conversions then yes. But you can optimize for enquiries most likely so we would optimize for that conversion.

You can try prioritizing clicks if you're setting up a fresh campaign in order to show data. Conversion needs at least 30 conversions within 30 days to show data.

Don't use maximise clicks unless 1) Your keywords SHOULD be a phrase or exact match 2)Less competition otherwise it might get expensive with irrelevant traffic 3)High intent keywords must be in your campaign to control results

No, Its not. In the initial phases, you are instructing Google to optimize for Clicks, then later your objective changes to Conversions. This would confuse the Algo, (Take a lot of time reset to your requirement) and take time and money to deliver conversions. Ideally, you should stick to your goal right from the get go and let Google learn over time, this will provide long term benefits and better quality leads.

You could set it up to focus on profit (gross at least). But by default revenue is typically used. Just an aside, if something costs 3x and you make half as much, I wouldn't sell it anymore :)

Yes. You should be able to calculate "whats the average incoming call worth to me" and then calculate how much you are willing to spend on getting incoming calls. It's hard but with some historical data, lets say last 6 months, you can evaluate price per action.

Awesome Ben, no one answered this question! how much is the lowest budget per day in Google ads to get leads for home, kitchen, and bathroom remodeling companies? I mean let's assume we need 2 leads in a day, and we get that out of 15 clicks. So to get 15 clicks and 2 leads How much will be the lowest ad cost I should be spending on Google ads per day?

People that engage deeper pages for expensive professional services seem to be the only conversion type that indicates interest. Since watching your video I have set up two page view conversions for contact and project pages, and of course the elusive contact form. Do you think this will be enough conversion data for bidding to work? We get like 20 page views for projects a week versus 150 for the home page.
