Here's a tip to make your runs of the Ancient Grove both easier and faster: - In the Coven of Ugdenbog, start the "Power in the Circles" quest to restore the wards, but DO NOT finish it: leave the quest open - Go to Matron Malostria and ask for a buff (you can repeat this when the buff is over) - You now have 20mins of 20% more dmg done to Beasts, and 20% less dmg taken from Beasts

I love how pretty much everyone hates Port Valbury. Also worth mentioning: Every endboss in the challenge dungeons has a chance of dropping one or multiple boss-specific legendary item/s. Alkamos for example has two sets of rings, one epic and one legendary set which is pretty useful for a lot of melee cold builds. Also running the challenge dungeons still makes sense if you don't have the full Vanquisher set yet. Every endboss has the chance of dropping one individual piece of this set. It is only available in the challenge dungeons so you can't farm it in Crucible or Shattered Realm.

In my mind it has to do with the Aetherials. It doesn't feel as much heroic and immersive to fight them, more like clearing toxic waste.

Yeah I'd say 80% of fights go by with no issue then he randomly bursts me down sometimes. I don't know if it's crits or due to debuffs from other mobs, kinda weird.

my trick here is whenever the manticore approaches to do melee attack, I immediately step back a little more and seeing its paws waving at me as if he had attacked me. In other words, you need to play some paw tricks with it

A tip to beginners: I have almost 600 hours in this game and I still suck at it, but I've made a Death Knight and farmed the Krieg's set. Now I've just beat Lokarr for the first time, and I can survive through pretty much every dungeon without a sweat (except for the new dungeon in FG, I'll have to gear up for that one). The Krieg's set is farmable from specific mobs (and Krieg himself) in the Ashes of Malmouth expansion. The optimal way to play it, it seems, is with a Mythical Will of the Living (shiel) and a Mythical Mindwarp (one-handed sword) Unfortunately, I haven't found either yet, so I have just been using a Soulsplitter for the time being, which does the job just right. If you can't find those items, I suggest you spec into two-handed until you do. Either way, Death Knight is the easiest way to build a solid farming character. P.S. Death Knight sucks at lower levels.

long final fight lol on Port Valbury....that got me off guard. zone in, pop some short duration flask for raw dmg, and let your Guardians of Empyrion to deal with the bosses. 30 seconds fight

i went port valbury with dual shield retaliator gor to final bosses kills 2of them and the main one stopped doing enything he was just healing when he was low so i had no way to kill him and i had to quit :D

the fight is a dps check. An important note tho... the shield they get only REDUCE damage taken, doesn't negates it entirely. You can still do damage to them when they get it. This is important because, despite your dps will be MUCH LOWER during the shielded phase, you can still hurt them, and that damage adds up in the end. You just need to make sure that your final damage is higher than their healing after each cycle, and eventually you kill them. Thats how i killed them with a PURE SOLDIER build (2 shields as well).

With regards to valbury mi decree of Aldrich, how many times has it taken to get it? I'm over 50 tries now got the blue scepter once or twice.

That's one of the rarer MIs TBH. I think is like 3-4% maybe. I've never seen it drop. I'd think in 50 you'd get lucky and see it. Alkamos ring set from SoT is even rarer. Like sub 1% drop. So atleast it's not that bad.
