These were some very good games on both sides. Magic at its very best, kudos.

Normally not a fan of Gruul decks but I've been wanting to play with Wurmlet for awhile and this deck looks sweet. I've been forcing Gruul everytime I play draft in WOE cause its such a strong archetype and been having tons of success with it.

If they can't remove artifacts and don't have first strike or something forge can win the game by itself. Thats the reason it's everywhere
@ubirajaralopes8415 Жыл бұрын
The problem with forge is that It has no imediate impact. It needs some things to go well. I think that It can be good, every now and than, but CGB has a point.

It can, the same way a single Llanowar Elves can.

@@twoshake2211 everyone runs removal of some sort first strike isn't that big of a deal but yes if you can't remove the FS it stops the forge. Like anything else there's ways to beat it it's not the end all be all it's just pretty damn good

yay, happy to see this! ive been running something like this but also w blue for reality chip, enthusiastic mech, surge engine (+ soul cauldron for surge engines unblockability). wurm + pathwork automaton's ward + reality chip (4 def) gives me a chance against mono red, then reality chip + enthusiastic mech + colorless spells for popping off against mid range

I actually really love cacophony scamp, picnic ruiner, and thrillseeker for a gruul combo. Throwing in buff spells like audacity, monsters rage, giant growth, and such.
@SDREHXC Жыл бұрын
Picnic ruiner is kinda insane, the little goblin will win games “on its own” sometimes. Same with the scamp and that red/black adventure, you don’t even need to have black mana and the combo is still a game ender.

I can't stop brewing Patchy + Ozolith decks lol, gonna have to give this one a try 👀
@Szaraq Жыл бұрын
Hey CGB, You could have won the last one earlier. Instead of cycling the Ozolith you trigger the one on the table on brute, play the other, keep it (the first is destroyed because it’s legendary), trigger it again on the same brute. You draw second brute, 2x unblock and it’s 8dmg. Really great plays anyway!!
@TheGingerbrett Жыл бұрын
glad someone else said it, didnt want to be the little goblins in the comments he keeps talking about
@stephenreimer5454 Жыл бұрын
"You could have won earlier, if you knew in advance which card you were about to draw" seems like unhelpful advice. Also, I'm pretty sure the play you've laid out requires 8 mana, which CGB only had because he cycled the ozolith. But, then again, he wouldn't actually need to 2x unblock. 1x would be enough for lethal, so there's that. Or even 0x?
@TheGingerbrett Жыл бұрын
@@stephenreimer5454 he didn't need the second gingerbrute, he was just laying out that it was lethal with just the ozolith play
@stephenreimer5454 Жыл бұрын
@@TheGingerbrett I guess I'm misunderstanding something. 2x ozolith pumps get the 3 power brute up to 7. Where does the last point of damage come from, if not from the second gingerbrute?
@Szaraq Жыл бұрын
@@stephenreimer5454you are right, he couldn’t foresee that he will pick the second brute, but it was unnecessary to cycling ozolith in that point of time while having that much mana in such cheap deck. You can just wait and see what you will draw
