I feel bad for the Guards. They have to put up with so much crap from the public. There are those that don’t speak or read English of which I understand for their action. Then there are those that do understand and you can see they do it on purpose to get a reaction out of the guard for their pleasure.

Sometimes I think they need to electrify (something like an electric fence for cattle) the white lines and give the Guards a button to push when somebody is on them or crosses them. But that when the horses are changing it does nothing to the horses. The guard has to initiate the shock (not a HARD shock but one that gets their attention 😂) to the people, but nothing is done to the horses. Almost like the 'EMERGENCY' button, but they hold it in their hand to be on the ready to push for the intruders, then leave it hang on the 'EMERGENCY' button upon leaving for the changeover OR perhaps give it to the Officer to give to the next guard upon their arrival to duty. Sounds like a great plan to me😀 ... may just need some tweaking to get the bugs figured out. 😉

It’s a public footpath, you may notice that people are walking across, the horse guard ignores them, the lines keep people out who are taking photos and trying to touch the horse

The reason these tourist flout the rules is because they think they're entitled and we have been too lenient with them. Now certain rules are in place the still force the issue. As I said every time they stand on the white line or go into the box it should be an instant fine of £50. They the army would have to come up with a way of doing this.
