I live in rural Croatia, so there is only in one pub with Guinness. I sometimes buy famous Guinness Draught Stout Beer Can (with ball inside), and have original glass (bought in brewerie in Dublin)...I like it so much....Best beer in the world

I love a cold cold pint of the black stuff occasionally, quite pricey in Bangkok but would love to try it in it's home country...also used to drink the Guinness bottles from Nigeria back in London, a lot stronger taste and ABV but a nice drop

Bowe's and Mulligan's are absolute gems and a stones throw from each other, many a late afternoon I've got giddy on those pints after a bit of shopping in the city. So true, you have to be careful they go down swift and easy! Price of that grub is actually scandalous. Get yourself into Super Value instead for the instant curry sauce, few spuds and a bitta chicken bring it home you're laughin. 😄

The Guinness in Sydney isn’t bad at at all. I tend to drink more Kilkenny but it’s not as common as it was 15 years ago. But if I ever get to Ireland a pint of Guinness is the first thing I’ll do after dropping the bags into the hotel room.

It's hard to get a decent Guiness pint in the Melbourne suburbs but if you choose an inner city pub you should be good. I bought a 6 pack of cans recently to have the occasional one as I was missing it and the weather suits at the moment. When I was in Dublin in 93, did the factory tour and afterwards was walking by a theatre where I saw Jerry Lee Lewis, one night only. As I was by myself, I was able to get a 3rd row seat. Best concert I have ever been to, saw two old guys' almost have a punch on because the one in front wanted to get up and dance. The one behind knew better than to argue.

Two of me favourite pubs. Not gone on Bowes. Mulligan's is the best overall. The Diggers is the best pint. I've spent days in these places after taking a day off work. Guinness is good for you.

1445 euro or 556 baht for a bit of chicken and chips in a fast food place does seem a bit of a rip right enough. How much were the pints of plain on average mate? Sure not that cheap these days either but looked absolute bang on and some lovely old pubs you visited!

8.80 in the Gravediggers, 6.20 in mulligans and 8.40 in Bowes. Mulligans is a bargain for the quality of pint and the pub is great too. Food was a rip off. Cheers mate

@@ThairishTimes Thanks 🙏.8.80 euro or 7.54 GBP is pretty steep. It may not be quite as good but my local in Glasgow is literally half that. Which I googled and it's about average... How much is a pint of Guinness in Scotland? These prices however have risen with the average pint price in Glasgow said to have been £3.78 last year, as reported by Glasgow Live back in April 2022

If I'm in the US or UK there is only only one Guinness I would buy. Foreign Extra as that is the stout that stays fresh all the time in the bottle.

yep Guinness tastes different depending on how it's stored, poured and it's temperature. Guinness is a stout and should be drank fresh that's why it tastes best in Ireland

When did we start putting curry on chips? Guinness in London is varied. My local’s Guinness is awful- hence locals never drink it. But if I venture out a bit more the Guinness improves- think cos it’s close to the Catholic Church near me.

Excellent video. I visited Dublin for many long weekends from London in my 20s. Cannot remember most of it as I was pissed for 3 days straight. We visited a pub in the suburbs after waking up with hangovers. Full of taxi drivers who finished their shifts. Wild morning session that tuned into another all day season. I think I was in bed at 8pm

Guinness outside of Ireland is not the same. Best I had was at my hotel in Galway, but I did fancy Foggy Dew in Dublin. I regret not touring the plant and opted for Jameson instead. ......... I've been introduced to ice in beer as a youngster traveling in the Americas. Some ex pats in Thailand have adopted this practice which I don't get unless you're nursing. a glass and want to drink water. Room temp makes sense as G is as creamy as milk.. That said, I lean more towards Smithwick's, and visiting a pub in Ireland is one of life's pleasures ... especially if you learn a chorus of some pub musical hits. ........... Irish pub food is also great, so maybe you can give us a true representation of the pub grub compared to Thailand. To be honest, I've seen what an English breakfast l and roasts look like in Thailand, and move on.

I found the best pint was at the Royal Oak on Sukhumvit 33. Shenanigans in Silom do a great pint too. The pub is managed by an Irishman. There are a couple of Irish pubs that do an awful pint. I caught one barman pouring a Guinness in one go

I'm in The Rebel County, so Murphys and Beamish are good options if you want a slightly sweeter stout. For me, I'm old school, so bottled Guinness all the way 😀surprised you didn't get a spice box, it would have been tastier and more likely cheaper 😉

It’s so much more than that. A Guinness from a pub in Dublin tastes nothing like a Guinness in a pub in Tokyo for example. How the keg is stored, how old it is, how clean the lines are at the pub that the Guinness flows through, how frequently the kegs are emptied and more all impact the taste

If you're on about the Gravediggers I agree. I live around the corner from it and the Guinness has always been ok, nowhere near as good as Bowe's or as good as Taafes in Galway which for me is the best pint on this island.
