In the spirit of christmas, this is basically speedrunning around half of what you need to know to pick up a guitar and just play the fuckin thing.

The people who respond negatively to this video are either angry it took me 10 minutes to explain what took them years of wasted time and hundreds of dollars to learn (or failed to learn most likely), or they pissed that it took me ten minutes to explain how to do what they personally charge hundreds of dollars and make you waste years of your life to learn.

OMG that was an awesome video. Even though I have already knew the stuff you were showing in the video, it did give me a different perspective. Thank you for the video

This is mainly day one type shit that people need to know to just have fun and stay motivated to learn and write songs, and just learn the other intervals/scales/chord inversions at their own pace.

The vulgarities are actually perfect combined with the teaching theory. Bro, I could have made the exact same video. 100% agree. Intervals are the key to everything. Don't forget my favorite chord, the stacked 5ths!

I mean honestly people be paying me to teach them how to count to 12 and play Mary had a little lamb; if you have ANY critical thinking skills you can quickly turn the major and vanilla ass minor scale into music and use intervals to play ANY CHORD SHAPE. The guitar is like a bowling alley with gutter guards up you can literally smack the fuckin thing and it just makes music on its own.

Iv always picked up guitars and played them left handed. One day I asked my dad when I was 9yrs to string one of his guitars to left hand and ever since then Iv been playing by ear. I know ZERO theory, I don’t even know the fret numbers by heart or the name of the cords. It’s really not needed unless you’re in a band
@FuckYoutubeCensorship4 күн бұрын
@trippyfierce9759 theory is just considering the consequences of your actions and reflecting on the decisions you made to get there. You only need it to quickly learn what someone else is doing note for note or explain what you're doing to someone else

Yeah I know, it's wild, I give them two or three lessons and then they just know how to do everything and stop giving me money I'm such a horrible teacher lawd help me take longer to teach people so I make more money off retards who have zero critical thinking skills or ambition.

People spend hundreds of dollars and waste years of their life following courses to learn how to do less than what I explained in this 16 minute video.
