Interesting. I teach "shop" in Australia. Two of the Best commercially available hand washes I've used contain ground cob corn waste and olive pits. Can understand the coffee grounds being effective.

One of the reasons I always preferred Lava soap for greasy hands was the pumice for scrubbing. Coffee grounds would serve the same purpose I guess. Unfortunately I stopped drinking coffee 5 months ago because I don't care for it without sugar and creamer and my diet doesn't allow sugar. Lava soap is not what it used to be years ago though. It's not as effective now because they made some changes to it.

The students get fresh coffee grinds. A can of the cheapest goes a LONG way.

Coffee grounds are marvellous and throwing them away should be a crime. Great stimulant for garden worms, and keep foxes and dogs from pooping on lawns, for example. Been washing my hands with them for a while. Does that mean I am a shop teacher?

I been very happy using Boraxo but it's gotten far too expensive. I prefer powdered hand cleaner. How do we make something like Boraxo but extremely cheap?

Sounds good but I just use gas since I'm washing parts in it anyway. Then everything don't smell like a deli-service station. BLESSINGS!
