How can I set the Satellite view as the default in the Android Maps app? In mine, it kinda falls back to the classic one whenever I open it, (I'm not using it that so often since my mobile is a heckuva slow crap.)

I would like to know how to navigate a route from "My Maps". I want to call up the route as created (and or imported GPX into My Maps) and get turn by turn directions. I ride a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and have the ability to use CarPlay.

I just uninstalled Google Maps because I got frustrated when using it today LOL, before today every time that I wanted to see the street view it was like a view from the middle of the street and that was fine, I was able to see everything from there, but now that view changed to like a persons view from the sidewalk, like walking from the sidewalk and I cannot find an option to get rid of that view, it was very annoying.
