So much knowledge. I need to watch this 5 times. Leftlabral tear. Cortisol shot is wearing off. I have pt but its basic. Glutes pretty weak. I have POTs as well so pretty limiy.ive always been athletic . Im going to work on increasing rotations on my left side. I dont twist torso well to left. Strong anterior tilt. Singke keg raises are very effective st decreasing my ant pelvic and i sm focused on more internal rotation on the bad sude🙏

All the tests were better on my left except for the shoulder a reduction test.

Your beginner body restoration course is amazing but what really helped me was your anterior pelvic tilt course in combination with the beginner body restoration course... I have a question on ur other video for the one on scapula winging that you posted a few day again. Will the video work if you have lateral scapula winging ?? Or is it just for medial scapula winging

Are hip issues caused by the diaphragm on the right side is longer? Causing slight shift i hips from birth. I just a video on this.

Im thinking about buying begginer restoration program, did anyone use it? Im dealing with tmcc pattern and some other disfunctions and i wonder if the program has exercises to addres those problems

I'm doing the program. I don't know what tmcc is but I have many issues from 4 major injuries (the first one was about 30 years ago) and compounded with compensatory patterns. The BRP is so helpful for me. It's not necessarily directed at my specific injuries but it's helping me to regain a basis so I can then address my specific injuries. The specific cues for each exercise help me understand how my body is supposed to move and be supported instead of just tensing all my muscles to try to achieve whatever motion I need to do (lift, reach, squat, etc). It seems to reduce the effects of my injuries even if not directed at them. It helps me move better when I'm just going about my daily activities. I find myself using the cues for the exercises when I'm reaching, bending, walking, etc. The program cost was about what my copay is for ONE physical therapy session and I've gotten way more benefit from the program than from any single PT session. I've been slowly going through the program for about the past 6 months (sometimes doing only zero, one or two exercises per day and sometimes doing an exercise from a previous week as needed).

I got a pinching sensation at the front of the hip near the hip bone. Is this hip impingement #1? I thought I could correct that by increasing hip internal rotation. If I understand correctly I can still exercises for #3?

Your article link doesn't exist. What about doing tissue work and stretching to tease out knots is the muscle tissue around the hip that might be contributing to impingement?

I'm sure these are very effective, but way to precise to do these correctly without someone coaching you. Most people who need this can barely move correctly besides trying to figure out we are in the correct position for each exercise. Doing these incorrectly could honestly make you feel worse!

Can you provide a warmup for "Legs", that addresses priming external/internal rotation, quads, hams, gluten, etc for major movements like squats etc. The purpose of making the muscle "feel" primed before hard sets.

My left leg has both less IR and ER than the right, with the right shoulder leaning more towards ER. Should I do all the exercises for ER and IR for my left leg ?

I have been diagnosed with FAI in my right hip. For the past few months, every time I stand up from a sitting position, it feels like pins and needles are being pulled out of my thigh. Then after that there is a numb feeling on the skin on the thigh. Is this related to FAI and is a pinched nerve to blame? How to get rid of this?

Hi Connor. Could you please help me with my poor posture. I am very self-conscious about it. I trust your expertise based on all the positive feedback I've read. My spine has an "s" shape to it and in all my pictures my head/neck is slanted to the right. Based on this information could you please recommend a specific video (or videos) that would help me reverse this. I would appreciate it greatly Connor.

I can't tell any difference in any of these tests. But my internal and external rotation have been very poor all my life. I cannot sit cross-legged on the floor, but I can squat all the way down with no problem. I cannot do pigeon or 90/90 at all without extreme knee pain though I cannot feel anything in the hip in those movements except for hitting a wall in terms of how far my femur can rotate. Recently, I have felt a pinch in my left anterior hip in both internal and external rotation but functionally I cannot tell any difference between the right and left. I don't feel any stretch doing the first ball exercise with the book. It is easy through more ROM than you demonstrate. The second exercise is easy but it makes my lower back hurt. Again, I feel nothing in the hips. The third exercise is also easy and I feel nothing in my hips. I have zero ability to put my pelvis in anterior tilt. I am seemingly locked into slight posterior tilt or neutral at the SI joints I suppose. My pelvis just does not rotate forward and back. I am at a loss. These tests do not show any difference between right and left. I had my wife check when I did them too and she could not see any difference. The bottom line remains, I have very poor internal and external rotation in both hips with no pain, just locking and that recent pinching that has only been the last couple of weeks. I am a very active outdoor athlete, 66 years old, six feet and 180 pounds, who telemark skis, runs, and swims in open water. I can run slow and long. I can sprint very fast for my age. I can out-climb and out-ski most experienced backcountry skiers regardless of their age. But I can't solve my hip mobility challenges. l live in Japan and cannot find any physical therapists that I can communicate well enough with the get anywhere. I have tried and spent a lot of money doing so. I couldn't find one who could help with this living for forty years in BOULDER either. It is so frustrating. I can still do a lot, but I do it with almost no internal or external hip rotation and a pelvis locked in posterior tilt. The problem isn't pain. It's just lack of mobility. Sorry to vent here but I have been trying to solve this problem for fifty years. One orthopedic surgeon, who is also a tele skier and bodybuilder, said x-rays show it is congenital, bilateral malformation of the bones. Any other ideas? Or do I just accept it?

This is probably the case for most people. I feel like I am in the same boat as you. I also feel like there are hundreds of these guys making different videos for the same issues, everyone has something different to say. And its not like we can easily identify what works, it takes weeks or months to see any improvement. Also most of these videos require you to go out and invest in some sort of equipment. It becomes extremely frustrating.

I don’t care what people say, I like that you explain in detail what’s causing these problems and how to fix them properly. Thank you for putting in the effort to help us understand what’s going on and how to fix the problem. Your channel is the main postural restoration channel I watch, because of how well you explain everything.

@@backbone93I've been watching this guy and others in the field for years and I think it's quite the opposite. conor offers the best explanations and demonstrations. These concepts are hard to understand if you don't get the fundamentals down first. This knowledge changed my life

Im 6 weeks post op Cam impingement laberal tear surgery. Had it for 22 years. Was able to play pickleball and tennis on it but after having a baby at 37 years old I could gain strength in keft glute or balnce on one leg. My surgeon said im doing well and ahead of schedule but I can tell its going to be 6 months before Ineven play pickleball again.

Conor, the key indicator of your competence is that you remain standing for the bulk of your time on screen. When people make videos about posture, pain relief, and retaining muscle mass, yet spend most of their time sitting (even slouching) while they chat about it, it bodes poorly for them, even if they are the most popular physical therapists on the internet. And while I don't wish ill on anyone, it's simple cause and effect when they experience degeneration.

I think it is a nice compliment, but no. Do you not think someone could fake it who has never even heard of "posture, pain relief, etc.."? by simply standing. This concept happens all the time with sooo many marketed products. Your logic tells me that you are easily suspectable to manipulation. A better compliment would be to the actual content of the video and even furthermore how PRI and his videos are truth and the best method for sustainable results versus more traditional push(massage) and pull(stretch) methods. Do not idol worship either, respect the person for what they bring. I am glad you like how he looks though :)

But if a physical therapist *can't even bother* to stand up straight while talking about posture, then I'm going to preferentially give more weight to the advice of the guy who walks the walk... or "stands the stand," as the case may be.
