Holy.. finally an explanation to why. I’ve gone to chiropractors, acupuncture etc. I’m a goalie in hockey and my right glute is noticeably smaller and I have terrible flexibility on my right knee. Doing these stretches tonight. Thank you so much

That's...just extension in ext rotation. You're actually internally rotating to achieve that movement. Active ext rotation would be lifting the foot from that position. It is still good for hip mobility at extreme ROM, just doesn't do much for active ext rotation.
