In this video tutorial I will be showing you how I installed a Springwell Whole House Water Filtration System. The model in this video is the CF1, and Springwell states it should filter roughly 1,000,000 gallons of water. Depending on usage, that’s 6-10 years before yoy have to change the tank!
You do have to change the sediment filter every 6-months, but that costs the same as a refrigerator filter, or less.
When we moved into this house, the water smelled like chlorine, had a funky taste, and had bits of stuff floating in it. In order to remedy this, I felt that pitcher water filter system would be subpar, so I went big, and ordered the Springwell whole house water filter system.
It’s been running at our house now for about a month, and we could not be more happy!
Water has no smell.
Water taste good.
And I don’t smell like I am bathing in a swimming pool with too much chlorine.
Three wins right there!
I did my best to document the steps of this install, but if you feel I missed anything, or you missed something that it should be in here, drop me a comment and I will do my best to help you out!
One big thing; follow the steps on how to fill & soak the tank 48 hrs prior to install!
Lastly, this type of install will vary for everyone. Things such as what type of pipes you have, setup of water lines coming into house, any obstructions (I used to be a telecomm installer, you wouldn’t believe how crowded some peoples basements would be), and things like that.
If you have never done plumbing work and are not fully comfortable with doing this youreself, call a pro!
