very cool. thank you so much. it's time to make some little work as shown now and then...never more lost arrows. thx

Soo, that's with alluminium shaft , how about carbon ? Have any ideas how to make the connection between the iron ring and the battery ?
@J0D0CAST11 жыл бұрын
They work with REAL carbon shafts also as they do conduct. Get a piece of sand paper and push it against the end where the nock inserts and twist the arrow shaft, if the residue on the sand paper is black its carbon if it's white then it's fibreglass and won't conduct/work.

What kind of soldering iron set up are you using?

I use a soldering station similar to this .. www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-48Watt-Soldering-Iron-Station-Kit-Desoldering-Temperature-Controlled/322013739787?epid=17011967750&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4af983bb0b:g:ObQAAOSwll1WyCFF&enc=AQAFAAACcBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickk5v8gVt3hEWLVg%2F253w6XCezzhb40cxXrOkWgljU7fyd2eWnHIB0QGPgJe%2BAriUTE5Y5TKoQtT1amqjMb5DPL2zt6yt8jE4KsL45enknjBk6c%2BCqgnZJxowJXekRE9Kq0R42EjKRNA5neT7Ixfeg172%2BQ%2F2z2ZQHAqvKBVLRwsXW5osPiQPoBe5YYI8QVtyHqvy0uYpnm79vRtBhfIEOewBUb0cHHcj8%2FqXeQEgiruLZ2vBeCNPBtkTYcdyuMqlomaUL4EBTn4EsMltTH4DxFOEQ3lVSpugSmndain49zoRGdjdKzbW6LkMPY9EZLe%2FuHz7rlC%2FlzAkSpGaC8p0QtGGDq6FfV1V5VvBqBsdDpH8eXUsd9Hn2UQjn6FBSo0WGF17W%2FPI8H4ml4r7%2FNpqxlKAWxJREqFEOsPQ7XrSU%2B71OUCmpzauBiYO0sjQ3ELP2IPcMQvHgcYJyuK1a86cNSlMWSqKnDE0bjDFIODcdnrUpFu4Z9qeFoJ0ZRCCk2raQVwb59ZxUGxwzvCnsYsJF7XUdAASGpEeEYqZqfNsJA145IuzmskIySthLLXUua5AUqTWITPxAFpzYKX61VICZzsXNZZ%2FAb27RhYrKe3l9IvanHs7MB%2BKoO1f1fjXy9M0ZpTp1Mvxg1LPQt7TIX%2FpB4u3b4d8ej69IassSF8Dl67Hxgfa9OzutwaOnT5oHIpCSxk4hiI0QDSXqE0xsbeaSFWJqk1MjwWX2NjWtFhWB%2FOPI6z2XNM%2Bf4q6m90OIMG8%2BWn36eHgMhnokRpT7WKQ1SaQ%3D%3D&checksum=322013739787eed37c343a7248ad9ba3c47f73b21f47

In my carbon shafts Im having a difficulty getting good conductivity. The spring doesnt seem to have enough contact with the inside of the shaft to make a good connection. Any suggestions?
@J0D0CAST9 жыл бұрын
+Christian Johnson use a larger diameter spring so its tight on the inside of the shaft and just tighten one end so it grips the battery tightly also ... should work. Have a good listen to what I suggest @10:27 :)
@2cmj09 жыл бұрын
+J0D0CAST any idea as to where I can get springs like that seeing that springs inside ink pins are not big enough?
@J0D0CAST9 жыл бұрын
+Christian Johnson you could try until twisting the spring a bit to make its diameter a little larger ?

I'm by no means an electronic expert but my calculations show that a resistor may be needed if the 3 volt output of the battery doesn't match the forward voltage of the LED. Seems like the only 3mm LEDs close to that forward voltage I'm finding online are either 3.2-3.4 or 2.0 forward voltage. Will the 2.0 LEDs burn out and will the 3.2 and higher not light? Can you advise of the forward voltage on the LEDs you are using? Excellent design by the way.
