Today I am answering a question I have gotten a few times... Which horse was the best horse I ever had? William and I are also working on fixing and making new raised beds for our neighbor and other odd jobs around the farm!

I have had horses for almost 62 years now, but like Jim I can say I have had a number of really good horses, luckily not a single bad one, and still some stick out which were extra special for various reasons.

Some Amish have a phone, they build an outhouse looking type shed and have one phone that they share with their family, friends which live next door or nearby. The different sects have different rules. Depends on your location.

Razed Beads are a Great way to Garden, I prefer them over Pots. Sadly, thy collect weed just like non razed Beads. My Question is, with all the Stone in your aria, do some folks make Razed Beds with Ston walls over Boards that rot out quickly? We have lots of Sandstone and Basalt Stone (Vranic Rock with Christel Geodes inside them). Most have a Pores Surface and make Beautiful Stonework. Slow heavy hard Work like any Masonry Brick laying Work. Have a wonderful Day!. Ray King

I had a really nice mare who would get anxious every time a car or truck passed her. In her case it was the air pressure wave coming off of the passing vehicle that would startle her. Sometimes it can hit pretty hard depending on how fast the car or truck is going, even from a decent distance. Perhaps this is Ken's issue as well.

Jim , Brenda and William, Another great video on working on the farm and around the barn and sawmill . It's great to see you helping out your neighbor repairing their raised garden beds. .Then preparing a load of lumber for delivery . The sled is a great tool to be used in providing a load to condition young horses and also give the older horses some exercise. It's great for you to share a story about Ken being nervous on the public road when bigger vehicles pass by. As we both realize that all horses are individuals and they don't react the same Somethings a horseman can deal with issues with some time and management and patience . I agree with you with the large group of horses I've owned over 40 years It's hard to pick one but if I had to choose it would be my wonderful Percheron Mare Dolly . She like your Belgian Gelding Mack were reliable and great natured and willing workers.

That final pass or passes in some cases, are critical to the integrity of the root pass. Without that mass added to bind the outer edge of the reinforcing plate to the member being reinforced there is a very real risk of tear-off, which is a REAL mess. Bitter experience as a young welder more than fifty years ago speaking here. Had a reinforcing plate on a drill rig tear loose during the attemptedextraction of a stuck drilm stem. Nearly killed one man, did hospitalize him after falling 80 feet onto an operating diesel engine. Kicked myself for years over that. . .

Q. About how much pressure (I appreciate it changes from moment to moment) do you have on the lines when just going along as you were today? I see your point of balance is most often leaning back. I deduce from that you are either using the lines as part of your balance point, or you have very strong back/tummy muscles. I would love to know what is acceptable pressure? I have seen it done (with a riding bridle) with an old brass weight hook tied to an object and the bit and reins attached to that with the human putting the same "feel" on as if a horse was wearing the bit. Based on appearance alone, the welds on the excavator boom are insufficient to retain the reinforcing plates. I fear ypu will have trouble in this area again.

Jim's not going to like this but I think he has about 450 acres . 2 farms . But a lot of his farms are swamp and trees and rocky pasture . So total acres doesn't mean much except to the tax man . How many acres is crop land is more important to Jim and Brenda. 😊😊😊

Jim's mini excavator has a digger head with a thumb for grabbing logs . A cherry picker has a claw for picking up logs . So conclusion yes both can move logs but they are not the same thing .😊😊😊

I am 73yo, My dad was a pipeline welder and I was around cherry pickers my entire life.........I also worked for Brown & Root Construction Co. after I graduated college...and I AM MOST DEF aware of machinery. The biggest thing here is HEADS ARE EXCHANGEABLE. Just like my lil car is a car until I hook a trailer to it and then it is a Trailer Puller...but; I tell ya what you call it what you would like and I will do the same.

McManus INTRODUCTION The purpose of this book is to inform reader about historical and archaeological facts that US history books omit in public school. Material culture is the aspect of culture manifested by the physical objects and architecture of a civilization. The term is primarily used in archaeology and anthropology. The field considers artifacts in relation to their specific cultural and historic contexts, communities and belief systems. It includes the usage, consumption, creation and trade of objects, behavioral norms and rituals that the objects create or take part in. Material culture is contrasted with symbolic culture. It includes non-material symbols, beliefs and social constructs. Some scholars consider it to include language and media. BCE (before Common Era) and CE (Common Era) are the secular alternatives to AD. ------------ The first cities appeared in areas where the land was fertile were established in the region of the Euphrates and Tigris River (aka Mesopotamia) around 7500 BCE. An the Ice Age ended in 9600 BCE. Scholars disagree on why the first cities in the world arose instead of elsewhere. The god Assur had power over the kingship of Assyria. The king of Assyria was his chief priest and all those who tended his temple in the city of Ashur and elsewhere lesser priests. Earth, air, fire, and water had its spirit or god. The earthquake, lightning, thunder, rain, storm, desert whirlwind, each had its spirit or god, and of course each plant, tree, and animal. As time went on, men began to think that certain spirits were more powerful than others and these they selected for special reverence or worship. From 722 to 705 BCE Assyrian tended to be identified with their god Anshar, the father of Anu (An) in the Babylonian Epic of Creation. The process thus represented Assur as a god of long-standing, present from the creation of the universe. To the men who marched in the Assyrian forces, as well as to those they conquered. The god Assur was to them a powerful god worthy of worship and devotion given getting thinking about the odds of being killed or wound prior to a battle. Akkadian, a Semitic language, gradually replaced Sumerian as a spoken language in the area 2000 BCE (the exact date is debated), but Sumerian continued to be used as a sacred, ceremonial, literary and scientific language in Assyria and Babylonia until the 1st century CE. This written language was preserved on clay tablets dating back to 2500 BC
