Best hours to drive are at night. Between 12 AM and 8 AM. Less traffic, less drivers, more riders. On weekend nights I won't drive in LA County. (unless I am chasing a bonus) I go elsewhere, where most everyone tips, the riders are nicer, as well as the Drinkee peeps, and the streets are newer and smoother. Sorry, I won't tell you where this is, you'll have find it on your own.

Great content man! Here in ATL I drive (and recommend) the same schedule which I call working the "commuter hours". It's also good to watch when and where the surges happen. Sometimes taking a weekend off (or recording your phone screen if you want to sleep) to see when and where the surges happen can save you time and money. Thanks for the vid and keep it up!

Atlanta Xcelence , hey I see you in Atl, so I’ve been scheduled to pick up my rental in 2 weeks at union city, to drive for Uber, but I haven’t been connected to their drivers app. It seems confusing to me and apart from the instructor, I want someone else who can help me navigate through it. I don’t trust text conversations 100%, I’ve been on KZbin just watching folks talk about their first time experiences, how to get started, etc. I’m trying to rent through uber and then drive for them. 20$ an hour - tax. -vehicle wear and tear (.55 cents a mile). It’s not that much. In mass I average 30$. But I get less then half it. Only worth it if it surges or I get some passenger wth a heart that actually tips. And a loaf of breads 8$ here jk but you know the deal...

Also depends on the city. In Atlanta GA; You'll get rides after rides after rides nun stop till you turn off the app. I started uber in Naples Florida and traffic for uber and Lyft was slow. Thinking back though, i feel like it's because here in Atlanta, you'll have to pay for parking in alot of places. Naples, you don't so there's that.

There's no point to driving for Uber at night since you are mainly picking up drunks and weirdos ,... the DAY is when it really counts because you get way better behaved riders then ,..but uber only pays 60 cents per mile now ,.. pointless, its "Less' than minimum wage now,..

In San Diego,..they all say Lyft gets no beeps now ,... you rarely get a drunk at Lyft but the people at Lyft also rarely tip ,.. Uber gets all the calls but Uber will clog your car with 5 riders and pay you 3.33 $ lol,.. for all of it,..

Hey there! I am planning on becoming an Uber Driver or UberEats Driver depending on whichever one would be better to fit my schedule and would love some feedback and your personal opinion. So I work my regular job 5pm - Close (I don't get out of there until anywhere from midnight until 2am in the morning) and then I go home and go to bed. I always work on the weekends as well. So I would basically be driving weekdays and possibly longer on Wednesdays and Thursdays on my days off. I am planning on driving 10am to at least get a decent amount of sleep the night before so I'm not falling asleep at the wheel, until around 3:00 - 3:30 in the afternoon. Just enough time to get home, change for work, and go into my job. So I would basically be driving for Uber or UberEats from 10 in the morning until 3pm that afternoon, and then working my fulltime job from 5 - C (I work fast food). What would you recommend I stick with in that case? Uber or UberEats? Any ideas or recommendations for me to pull in the most income would definitely be appreciated? Also, I would be operating out of Knoxville, TN. Not sure if that matters much or not.

I do only 2:30 pm after work pm to 9pm in newyork not bad but about 4:30pm if i have to take the highway it heavy traffic so is better put the app in the office and start at 6 pm again

I wouldn't recommend it. Too many drunk people you have to deal with. If you want to though, 1-3am is probably the best time for that.

I've driven those times, and yes drunk people are a pain. They sometimes tip, and they tend to leave low ratings because they just don't feel that good. It to me wasn't worth the ratings. I give them great service, and they repay me with a 3-4 star rating. Again, not worth it.

Thank you! For female drivers who are concerned, I would recommend getting a dashboard cam and have some pepper spray in your car as well. Make sure your passengers are buckled up. This will limit their reach. Also, try not to wear anything that's too revealing. Definitely don't drive past 2am when the drunks are ordering Ubers. Nothing good can come from that. Drive safe!

You can buy dashcams that have screens on them. People will be more inclined to behave if they can see themselves on camera, like putting a CCTV screen in a store where people can see themselves so the decide not to steal.

when i started lyft driving i was huge on customer service and amentities not anymore!! i put bottle of water, peppermints and gum in the passenger doors for the riders but found it didnt really help! all they did was drink up my bottled water, eat all the peppermints and still wouldnt tip!! fuck that!!

I bought 2015 Chevy Cruze according to Uber you're going to make good amount of money every week so I start driving for them and I realize that I was not making enough money to cover my bills and my expenses and I realize that I was putting so much mileage on my car for nothing for pennies so my car cost me 17500 and where in 2018 still owe 13000 on it but if I want to trade it in they only giving me $3,000 . they say I have a hundred and ten thousand miles on it I'm trying to return the vehicle I don't want it anymore I don't want to work on it anymore I just went through Uber and they got me the car but I really don't want it anymore because is not worth it I've lost so much money I owe $13,000 on a vehicle that cost 3000 now ridiculous Uber is a scam big time Lyft and Uber or just another scammers out there don't trust them

AVOID RUSH HOUR EVERY DAY! It makes No Sense to Sit in Rush Hour traffic. If you have never tried it- Work from 10pm to 5 or 6am. No one else is driving during those hours. You will be Suprised at how Busy you Will Be. There is basically No traffic. You will give More rides during these hours because you can Get to your destination quicker. The Main Point is, everyone thinks it will Not be worth it without trying. It IS worth it! Give it a shot- It Will Work!
