This is an awesome addition to your property. I love the father son project as well. Now you have luxury hunting. We call luxury camping glamping so will now have to come up with a name for luxury hunting.

@inspiringbuilds thanks buddy. Appreciate you watching and sharing the kind words. We appreciate it. The projects with our kids are always the best for me regardless of how tough they are. Lol, yeah, let me know what you come up with. We'll see how the first day goes before I look to see if I need to modify our setup. Hope it works great in its current state. Cheers!

Dude, that blind looks awesome. That should certainly make those early mornings in Ohio much more enjoyable when waiting for the big bucks. Good luck with this season and thanks for the sharing the details on this one. Huge help for those considering them.

I am currently in the process of purchasing one from Joel. They want $250 for the foam insulation/sound reducing foam. I heard you say you were going to do your own. May I ask what product you were going to use for insulation/sound reduction? I didn’t like the look of the eggshell design he presented. Thank you!
@SpiritedBackyards8 күн бұрын
Hi JaPrather. Thanks for watching and sharing. Pretty cool you're getting one from Joel as well. I agree, the $250 price tag for the think egg foam was a little pricey in my opinion. I will likely end up going with a rather inexpensive carpet pad to staple or adhere to the walls. We tested out a small My Buddy propane heater in there and it got warm very fast with no insulation. The padding will mainly be for sound control. I plan to also add a little thicker carpeting on the floor as the one that comes with it is very thin and allows too much chair noise from the bottom. Hope this helps and we wish you luck with hunting.

Could this be assembled on a pre existing 6’x8’ platform or is it designed specifically for that platform?
@SpiritedBackyardsАй бұрын
Hi Briancourtney, thanks for watching and asking. We really appreciate it. Are you referring to the stand or the base(floor) that the walls are installed onto?
@briancourtney6676Ай бұрын
@ we have a 6x8 platform already, so not the size and shape of the base. I couldn’t tell if the the walls were sized for the based as a package or if it could be affixed to a different platform
@SpiritedBackyardsАй бұрын
@@briancourtney6676 , ahhh, yes the walls were sized for the base and have a slight overhang. The base is a part of then entire blind anyway so I wouldn't look at putting the sides up on something else. It would be more work for no savings. You trying to decide on whether to build or buy?
@briancourtney6676Ай бұрын
Looking for a decent but affordable hard sided blind vs pop ups (bow primarily). Booner 5-sided or similar but not seeing many good reviews on anything that’s $1000 or less. Might resort to building something but would prefer to purchase
@SpiritedBackyardsАй бұрын
@briancourtney6676 that's a tough task buddy. When I found more affordable ones, they had horrible reviews or leaked really bad a year or earlier. Also hardware on the cheaper ones is get what you pay for. I didnt want to spend the money but my wife talked me into it. She doesn't help me be reasonable sometimes. Lol. I didnt want to go through the effort of building our own knowing my time is also very valuable and tied up with other projects. I wish you luck on your search.
