Stan, we had no snow until two days ago here in central CT. Two small storms back to back with a total of 6". As of 3 o'clock this morning, no more snow! So much wind and rain, it's all gone! Now we have a flood warning in effect! Fun, fun, fun!! Stay safe and warm, Brother! God bless.

I'm in extreme northeast NE. Our weather has been unseasonably warm. We got 6" of snow on Christmas and just got 13" of snow on the 7th and 8th. Now we are going to get normal January temps with highs in the single digits to below zero. Our lakes at this point only have about 2" of ice.

Central Illinois has mostly gotten rain this winter with unreasonable warm temps. This weekend is supposed to change with another winter storm and cold temps moving in.

In central Maine had a crazy amount of rain the week before Christmas flooded a bunch of places the river was so high. Had a couple snow falls since but also got rain last night so most of the snow has melted.. wish it would just snow so I can go snowmobiling..

I was watching live streams of stormchasers last night. I've watched live streams of truck drivers, a bail bondsman just sitting in his car on a stakeout etc. One interesting thing, the stormchasers last night setup their stream kinda like a TV news show with field reporters. They had multiple stormchasers streaming, but one guy in a nice warm house who could switch streams to different chasers, show weather maps and explain what they were looking at to predict where the tornadoes would form etc. So you could try a similar thing. That would require someone awake at home to "run", or possibly setup a remote control system so you can swap camera views when you lewve a lot to move to the next etc. Otherwise, those live streams don't need to be a full interactive stream. Just do your thing and focus on the job with the occasional "hello" to chat.

I live in Wa state bud and our snow is like 3” inches right now. I hope it stays we just got it last night. Before that not much. If it snowed it would be like two days and it was gone. That’s down low in elevation

All of them looked to be built off the same copycat patterns. The last one had a more realistic price but the one that had the multi screen shared sonar views had the best layout. I guess the best thing about these ice fishing houses is the fact that i will never need one in south GA but it was cool to see what you Yanks will go thru to go fishing

It's crazy, when I was young most ice houses where home built and only a couple companies sold them, Ice Castle is one if the oldest brands and when I was young the common concensus was that they're over priced, over the past 20 years tons of companies have popped up charge 2,3,4x what the ice Castle costs and usually has drasticly lower quality.

Thats the reason most people who own these use them year round. Most campers can't handle cold weather anywhere near what these can. So for those who ice fish and camp this is the more logical choice, The cheaper ICE Castle model is better built than most ice houses that are 2-4x its price. Some people want SxS's, Some want a Corvette Jorts and white New Balance sneakers, others just love to fish year round
