Had a VERY satisfying run with Defect. 4 claws, 3 All fir One's, 1 upgraded hologram. 2 upgraded buffers for defence with an amplify floating around. Ice cream made the whole thing operable

Made a drop kick infinite right after watching this video, so thanks for that! 2 Drop Kicks + Double Tap gave me a way to infinitely cycle Ethereal Armor, so I was even able to beat the Heart with it. I'd like to note for new players (like me) trying to make an Ironclad infinite deck: DO NOT ignore exhaust cards. Fiend Fire was consistently clearing 9 cards from my deck (thanks to my draw power, anyways), which was helpful for dumping my Defends and cards that were good for setup but not for the combo (e.g. Battle Trance).

@autive4210 ай бұрын
I find going infinite on Ironchad the easiest because you don't need to watch deck size as much because pf his easy access to exhaust. Fiend fire, corruption, second wind, burning pact, sever soul, and true grit+ all make it easy to trim your deck down to just your infinite pieces. My favorite infinite is a silly one with reckless charge, evolve, dark embrace, and medkit.
@3hourgames9 ай бұрын
Clad infinites definitely have more widespread use since you keep the extra cards for sure. They're sometimes less reliable if you brick your draw early but they really help vs heart, spikers, and time slug

I realise it’s really not that deep but saying to specifically aim to get an unceasing top to go infinite on defect is a bit strange considering its a rare relic which can do relatively similar things on any class. There are ways to go infinite on defect without relics, most commonly by exhausting the deck down to few cards with recycle, then combining turbo+ with another draw positive card like skim alongside really any 1 or 0 cost damage card. Alternatively there’s ways to go infinite using plasma orbs too

Probably my favorite infinite deck I've achieved was on the silent. I love the silent's non poison or shiv damage sources, and as such you will commonly see me take sneaky strike and eviscerate. But on one run I had two reflex+, two prepared+, three after images, and an eviscerate. I knew this deck would be best if it was slimmed down a lot, so I prioritized removes, but I didn't realize what was happening until I realized I had played prepared like 10 times in a single turn. Unfortunately I didnt't quite have enough removes to have a true infinite against heart (if I got unlucky with draw order I'd draw statuses instead of prepared), but I think I was able to get at least one infinite turn against it. And eviscerate hits hard enough that I didn't even need a full infinite.
@3hourgames Жыл бұрын
Eviscerate and finisher are incredible with big turns Sounds like an incredible run! Removal is one of the tough parts for me to prioritize still.
@gengarisnotinsmash... Жыл бұрын
@@3hourgames I find that a good rule of thumb to know if you should prioritize removes is to check if there is a particular card or two you play every time you draw it. Getting removes helps you streamline your deck twards drawing that one card more often, which can honestly be far more impactful than relics or upgrades. Also, if you are curious, I uploaded the heart fight from that run, here's a link to it. This definitely is not a shameless plug: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoHRd4SIbZKNpqM

Defect's most reliable infinite is Recursion with a Plasma Orb, from Chaos, Fusion, or Nuclear Battery, supported by Coolheaded, Compile Driver, and Skim for card draw, most of the pieces to this are common/uncommon, compared to needing to a find a Rare Relic, it's way easier to assemble

I just recently got a Defect infinite that was maybe the coolest infinite I've ever had. Meteor Strike, Enlightenment, and two copies of Skim were the big parts. Start by playing Skim to get all your other cards in your hand. Then play Enlightenment to reduce th cost of Meteor Strike to one, and play it to channel 3 plasma. If you either have Nuclear Battery or at least two more energy from relics, play the other skim to draw Skim, Meteor Strike, and Enlightenment. Then, play Meteor Strike again and gain 6 energy from plasma. Repeat the process of Skim and Meteor Strike infinitely. If either Skim is upgraded, you can add in a Leap or another block card to also infinitely scale block with this.

The problem of all the the silent is if you go infinite run with "Endless" mod activated. After few rotations u'll get the debuff that restrict you to play with no more than 15 cards each turn. So the key to really go infinite with the silent is wrath form.
@3hourgames8 ай бұрын
Can't say I've done much endless mode.
@ssj3rebox8 ай бұрын
Alternatively for the defect, you can use a madness on a hologram to make it 0 cost for the rest of combat. Then you only need hologram and turbo in discard with all for one to infinite. As all for one grabs hologram, which then grabs back all for one. And turbo gives you the energy for all for one.

My first heart kill was with a silent infinite with the main contributors being 2 acrobatics, a tactician, and an eviscerate. Had enough energy, card draw, and a slim enough deck to get excess block in even despite the statuses. (Though I did get an abacus in the final shop anyway. Not necessary, but still really funny)

What to do when you face the Time Eater with an infinite deck?
@3hourgames10 ай бұрын
Time slug VS infinite is challenging for sure! The moment you decide to go infinite, think of a contingency plan for that specific boss, look for block relics or exhausting block cards that you can play in clutch situations. Other than that it’s making sure to control the fight. Sometimes it may be better to stop when the counter is on 6 instead of 11, or to stop early on a big hit turn.

I’m new to this game, how often can these build be made during runs? I did 5 runs with the first character so far and always end up missing one of the cards. Also how does he cut his card number this low? Even if I go through all merchant it won’t reach that low.
@3hourgames Жыл бұрын
For most runs, an infinite isn't going to be a win-condition or even a possibility. In several hundred hours I've managed less than ten true infinite decks. You have to find exactly the right cards and removals, events and relics to make it happen. For the Ironclad, making use of the exhaust mechanic will temporarily reduce your deck size down considerably. Other than that, remember that you dont HAVE to take a card every floor, and there are several events or relics that also allow you to remove extra cards. Welcome to the game!

Hey, time eater called, he says you have until 12. But regardless infinites are beautiful and intricate strategy in slay the spire. And scaling is the utmost importance to infinites. Relics like kunai and shrunken are clear examples of this. Because it's not a good infinite if you can't defeat the heart or let alone time eater.
