Love the Red... but the Black just has SO much more of a depth of flavour that it's now our go-to. I live with a Korean and... well... we both love to eat so we DO tend to mix one Red with one Black for that perfect melding... LOL The odd thing is that no matter which Asian market we go to - including the local Korean ones - you can't just buy the thicker Ramyun noodles in packages without flavouring. Every other type of noodle you can imagine are available in large packages... but NOT the ones like Nongshim. The Taiwanese Lanzhou and Kuan Miao ones are CLOSE... but... Anyhow, awesome video. Love your reaction and enthusiasm! Though my Korean Bae's forehead was pounding on the desk watching your chopstick usage LOL

Shin Black all day everyday! Black has garlic pieces in it and the broth is garlicky which is what I enjoy

Shin Black is the best instant ramen on the market. They also make a Shin Gold now that's spicy chicken.Its also pretty good.

You don't really need to use the additional packs that the shin black has and it's the same scollvile as the red has.

Shin Red is my absolute favorite instant ramen since over three years now. But now that I've heard about the black version, I went straight to Amazon and bought a six pack. Haven't tried it yet for some reason, but I guess that I will still prefer the red one, because I love the spice level that it has, but well see. Maybe for a little switch of flavours from time to time it will be nice. And I must say that I prefer the packages over the cups, mainly because I prefer the texture of a longer cooked noodle.

I'm a big fan of both of these, but red has the slight edge for me. The broth is like a comforting hug, partly because of the warming spice level, which just isn't there with the black. Also, the black is often considered to have a 'better' vegetable assortment, but my favorite part of the shin red vegetables is the textured tofu pieces that almost mimic pieces of chicken. The black replaces those with slices of water chestnut which are good, but not as pleasantly textured as the tofu pieces. All that aside, paying nearly double the price for the black seems absolutely criminal! Is it worth it? Yes. But I'll take red any day of the week.

Cup and bowl versions are great for camping and convenience, but the package kind of ALWAYS better. The noodles in the block are thicker and bouncier.
