The lack of notifications on Apps is the killer for this type of setup. I have no clue why anyone would want a Messages, Mail, Phone, etc. icon that didn't have a way to indicate you have a waiting message. So what I did was used the large "Stack" widget with the Widgetsmith calendar as one of the apps in the stack and I keep that on top of the other widgets I want to be able to flip through like Weather and Siri Suggestions. This keeps the black professional look but I can quickly bring up other info with a quick flip of app. The always on top bar at the bottom I had to use the original Apple apps for Phone, Mail, Messages, and ProtonMail so I can get notifications. Not a huge departure from the look in this video but FAR more useful.

I believe you have an extra step there. To remove the app icon from the home screen, tap&hold to get the menu, then hit delete app, it'll then give you the option to delete or just remove from home screen. You don't have to "edit home screen" then hit the minus after getting giggly with it.

I just did this tonight, but from an Instagram add for like $6. However, the biggest flaw I've seen with this so far is things like twitter or Facebook or email where you are used to seeing red numbered notifications next to the app, those no longer exist with these shortcuts. For me this was kind of annoying. So I set up my home screen to look like this and sleek but then when you swipe right I have the exact same screen mirrored with the actual apps so that i can see at a quick glance if there is any notifications I missed.

You can just click remove app and then move it to the library. You don’t have to hold and edit Home Screen to do it

Looks good - bought and downloaded it. What isn't good in practice is that when you click the icon, it opens up Shortcuts and then the app. One too many steps. Also, you don't get to see (red dot with number) when have received emails, messages etc. So, gone back the the original app icons. No cigar from me.

Just a tip, if you want to move your icons quicker just tap and hold them for about .5 seconds then move them (right after it seems that it moved) and there you go, you go into editing home screen quicker :) Another thing, this or similar icon pack for Shortcuts are free and can be found on reddit, without paying $28, i know that guy spent time on it, but free is free :)

You can literally make all the apps on space then move it to the home screen instead of moving all the home screen apps to the home library, you can just deselect the page and it will hide it to make it easier than when you don’t want the theme anymore all you have to do is add it back quickly to it was originally.....

Thanks for the videos, very informative BUT I just switched from Android to Apple because I thought this new IOS was finally going to let me do the things I do on my Galaxy. But I’m starting to regret my choice. Everything is all over the place. Instead of being able to customize icons, fonts, apps all in one place. You have to do 10 steps to do one simple thing. Who what’s to spend hours customizing. Seriously it shouldn’t take no more then a minute to do. It’s ridiculous! And then pay $28 for a theme 😳WTF. A theme like this, would be no more than $2.49 on the android theme store! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I really like this. But not enough to do it yet. Until apple makes it so that it doesn’t go to shortcuts then to the apple. It would be much much better if it went direct to app. And also you don’t get notifications for said app. Cool look though.
