Yaaaassssss Aoife! Look at you!! Loving this Irish rep and you've chosen amazing writers :) I'm sure this will encourage so many people to pick up one of these books. So pleased Book Break have featured this in the run up to Paddy's Day and it's perfect timing for #TheIrishReadathon too!

Hi Leanne! 👋 We were so pleased to have Aoife on the channel too, especially with this incredible list of writers! It's definitely inspired me to pick up the ones I hadn't already, so I hope lots of others feel the same way :)

Seeing Toibin mention, I have to recommend "The Testament of Mary", as it is beautifully written (at times almmost hypnotic) and impactful.

Omg Aoife, yesss! So nice to see these Irish writers highlighted. I think we’re mostly hit with Seamus Heaney and James Joyce in England when we do Literature and we’re always studying potatoes, so it was great to hear about other writers! Brooklyn I one of my favourite books and films- I definitely prefer the film though because Saoirse! 😍

I agree, I love this list Aoife put together. I've actually never read OR seen Brooklyn yet - shameful!
