I'm no expert and I love Hannah's videos -- superbly informative and well-advised -- always. But I notice on the 4-iron swing, even with the i230, she pops up on her toes for a milli-second AT impact, instead of RISING up directly and smoothly to left-heel/right-toe and torso-square-to-target just AFTER impact. I could imagine that this microscopic "bobbing up" wouldn't affect the higher-lofted irons, but getting down into the 4- and 3-irons, such a shift of height would affect impact on clubface, attack and launch angle, power (because it is a slight "hiccup" upward in the club path at impact.)The more vertical the loft, the more this motion will "slide" the clubface upward as it impacts the ball which would compromise an otherwise consistently beautifully executed swing and strike. Hannah is totally lovely and I hope this minor observation will be of some minor help to her. Best wishes for 2025 !!!

Really great content again. This is really what a fitting should be and usually isn’t; and shafts seem to be so fundamental for timing and to get the most out of the head and individual delivery. I think it shows the advantage of going to a fitter with a lot of choice, who is not wedded to any brand. I didn’t think you would resist that Ping combination 😊 I hope you have a stellar season with them.

H2, I think you should have tried the Wilson Staff CBs. They are amazing and I think feel better than the Pings.

Another good video and educational from the fitter. Any advice on how to get the same value from my local fitter . My 3 experiences for a fitting does not come close to what is covered by your videos or any others alike . I feel like most of my local fitters don't seem to care about finding the right setup if I'm not an influencer or a scratch golfer who is looking to spend over a grand on just the irons .

The Blueprint S looks great. I'm playing the Pro 223. I was cheering for those. Curious why they dropped out of contention after hitting only the 6 iron. Is it that the higher loft was causing a gapping problem? It's good to see that they're pretty comparable though.

SGGT is great. I’ve been for an iron fitting, driver and fairway wood fitting, and lastly a shaft fitting for my irons. It’s a complete service with equipment you might not get as standard through manufacturers specs. After service has also been good! Enjoy your new irons 🙂

I'd love to see a full video on picking the right shaft for your irons. Today, I feel it's almost more important than the head as there is such equity across the brands. The golf shaft is the engine.

Good question! I don’t think they would need to replace them as long as they don’t move them too many degrees, it’s generally big changes that affects it

The link to book a fitting at SGGT doesn’t work for me 😮 VERY interesting video, Hannah. I’m about to change my irons, although I live abroad, so it would be tricky for me to go there. I’m leaning towards Mizuno JPX 923 Forged (I need a bit more help than you). The shaft is the tricky decision.

Isn't the ideal spin for a 6-iron like 6000-6500? All of those were way lower in the 4000-5000 range. Was just curious about that.

6000 would be ideal with a blade you generally don’t get that much as you move to clubs with more forgiveness. I could probably look at a spinnier ball to help too, pro v1x or TP5 tend to spin more

Why did you not even try a hybrid 4 instead of the iron? Generally, hybrids launch higher, are more forgiving, less likely to hit fat and take less speed to get good ball flight. So many golfers are replacing long irons with hybrids; except pros. Is it just an ego thing?

I have PXG 0311 P gen 3 irons, been playing for 26 years & the 4 iron is the easiest 4 iron I ever hit. Why not try something else beside the same old same old big 5 or 6 brands. Why not try Takomo , Wesley Bryan is using them now.
