I love the Seiko solar an Citizen eco drive formats for the simplicity of using the sun to power the watch. My Citizen gained 1 second in 2 months. That is what I have a watch on my wrist for.

I have the Grand Seiko SBGE285 Mistflake, and it’s by far my most worn watch. It’s sporty bu understated and elegant with its all grey presentation. Also, the spring drive movement is truly incredible: it is rated at +/- 1 second per day, but in my experience, it’s much closer to +/- 1 second per week. A fantastic watch.

Many thanks Teddy, yesterday I saw a lot of videos about the life and works of composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Great videos about the life of Bach are coming especially from Asia where people celebrate the masterpieces of this composer - singing the cantatas in German language. It came to my mind that the development of watches/movements in Europe like from Breguet (the Bach of the art of watchmaking) are done at quite the same time when this composer lived and we had simulteanously the development of better music instruments, better measurement instruments and huge steps foward in mathematic sience as such. Music, arts craft, stunning precision instruments are going hand in hand - this is not a coincidence. And it is not a coincident that the Asian art of living and philosphy is connected to the western philiosphy via music and watchmaking. Many thanks for your wonderful videos.

I got a Orient mechanical watch and wear it everyday. I have been very suprised with how accurate it is for a entry level mechanical watch. I pretty much only need to re adjust the time when the days on my day date get out of sync with the actual days of the month.

Orient movements are insanely good and the time setting feels so solid and satisfying too.
@stuntmonkey00Ай бұрын
Yeah, my old Ray II is still +/- 4s a day. That's well within the COSC chronometer standard; the only difference is that compared to an Omega, there's more variability depending on the state of wind, temp, position etc. But still, the Orient F6522 is like the final answer to "I just want a watch that works", it hacks, it's accurate, it's got a date and day function. If you went Swiss, how many more hundreds if not thousand of dollars would you need to spend to get something that did exactly the same thing?

The 0200 is on par with the Grand Seiko in terms of finishing and quality, if not better in certain areas. The Chronomasters are definitely a great watches and finishing is top notch.
